First off the good stuff. The product is sturdy, solid and well crafted. Instructions were by-and-large clear and easy to follow (but see below). The hardware was packaged in such a way as to make finding the proper piece for each step quite easy. Once assembled it looks nice, indeed just like the photos, and there is little complain on that score. There are a couple of things to be aware of, however. None of them would warrant not purchasing this item but just things you should know going into this project. 1st.In our experience, it takes two people to assemble and move this unit during the assembling process. 2d. The instructions illustrations can be a bit tricky and at one point we missed a crucial part of a step which resulted in our putting the shelf in backwards. By the time we discovered this it was too late to go back and so we had to improvise. Just pay special attention to which direction the cam side of the shelf is facing and you'll do fine. 3d. This took us about five hours to put together. Granted, we're not used to doing this sort of thing so if you're handy with a screwdriver and used to putting pieces of furniture together it might go quicker. Yes it did take a long time to assemble, but end product is worth it. I love how the instructions were easy to follow, and video aides very helpful. I loved how everything was labeled making it easy to identify the pieces. I especially loved how the small pieces like screws and nails were in individual pouches and labeled. Nothing worse than trying to identify the correct screw by a photo. I had a little trouble adjusting the doors. I found that when your attaching the doors with hinges it’s best to turn in the screws a little because it’s difficult to line up the screws to the holes. Looks a lot more expensive than it was when built. It is made of typical particle/fiber board that you would expect from anything being delivered in a box. Building was time consuming but not terribly difficult. I do suggest having someone just for putting the doors on. I did it alone but it was a little more difficult. I give this build a 2 full wine glass review. Meaning, it'll probably take you 2 full glasses of wine to complete. The doors are adjustable horizontally and vertically which is a plus compared to other furniture I've bought. My knobs do not line up but honestly, I'm not playing with adjusting them. Just nice you can if you prefer that. Builders tip. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out where I missed 2 nails in the back. Count your pieces. They included 2 extra nails. I am 5'3" and with that being said, there are parts in the assembly where you will have to turn it over on its back or on its side. It is pretty heavy so I suggest getting someone to help you. Also, there is a lot of screwing of bolts/screws. It is worth it and it comes with everything you need to assemble this. But no shame in using power tools to save your wrist. Do not over screw. Bought this and item was even on sale and still better yet the company is in Ohio. Fast shipping of course cause it was through Amazon. When arrived for some reason time we got ready to put doors on noticed a punch crack in door, not a good thing by this time. So we put the door on anyway thinking we are stuck. Husband did call following day to Sauder Company waiting to be put on hold, run over by the grain truck, you name we was waiting for it, NOPE didn’t happen. Best company to complain to, actually just telling them no explanation was neede, no photo was needed, no return was needed, just our name and address, got the new door perfect condition in couple days. Now try to beat this for great service. The product it self is wonderful in fact better that we was expecting, nice finish, drawers was great, hinges on doors are wonderful so they adjust perfect for this old uneven house floors, no complaints on our part. They get a 5 star for their service department too. But for a you put it together piece of furniture they certainly get a 5 star too, I even gave my husband 5 stars for putting it together, he said it was pretty simple to do. As soon as I can figure out how to use another one with inserts for storage and not hangers I’m getting another one, I really like this easy to assemble very decent looking piece of furniture, at least in our case we did not go wrong and the Sauder Company did not go wrong in their service department. ... show more

I had read the reviews and had realistic expectations as to what my money could buy. I needed something to hold my dresses and scarves. A taller armoire would have allowed my dresses hang completely straight but I wanted to put a tv on top to watch when in bed. My dresses drape a bit on the armoire floor. I chose this trade-off. It is just what I wanted for our spare bedroom and not only functional but attractive. If you follow the written instructions it goes together good, but please don’t try and put it together without them, but all was good and I love it.
