  • Affordable, easy to put together, and was delivered fast.
Color: Washington Cherry Finish
This was easier to put together than I thought it would be, and it looks great. It was also a great value and Amazon was fast about shipping it. The closet is deep and the drawer is really big. I love the look of the wood because it matches my end tables almost exactly. It took me about 3 hours to put it together, and it was easy to do. I just had to follow the directions and it slowly came together. I put it together by myself, but you may need someone to help lift the furniture off of the floor. It's heavy when put together. I really think that I will enjoy mine for years to come, and I hope you enjoy yours too. Thanks for reading my review. ... show more

  • Nice Enough Armoire - Parts Came Broken
Color: Washington Cherry Finish
It's a nice armoire, it gets the job done. One of the side panels came with the corner broken off. The way I have it set up it isn't a huge problem, but it does seem to be a theme judging from the other reviews.

  • Great product and great company
Color: Washington Cherry Finish
Bought this and item was even on sale and still better yet the company is in Ohio. Fast shipping of course cause it was through Amazon. When arrived for some reason time we got ready to put doors on noticed a punch crack in door, not a good thing by this time. So we put the door on anyway thinking we are stuck. Husband did call following day to Sauder Company waiting to be put on hold, run over by the grain truck, you name we was waiting for it, NOPE didn’t happen. Best company to complain to, actually just telling them no explanation was neede, no photo was needed, no return was needed, just our name and address, got the new door perfect condition in couple days. Now try to beat this for great service. The product it self is wonderful in fact better that we was expecting, nice finish, drawers was great, hinges on doors are wonderful so they adjust perfect for this old uneven house floors, no complaints on our part. They get a 5 star for their service department too. But for a you put it together piece of furniture they certainly get a 5 star too, I even gave my husband 5 stars for putting it together, he said it was pretty simple to do. As soon as I can figure out how to use another one with inserts for storage and not hangers I’m getting another one, I really like this easy to assemble very decent looking piece of furniture, at least in our case we did not go wrong and the Sauder Company did not go wrong in their service department. ... show more

  • Final Product is Misaligned and Drawer Will Not Close. Not Worth the Money - or Effort.
Color: Washington Cherry Finish
Instructions were long but manageable. Everything went where it was supposed to go. But when completed, the armoire's alignment is off. Took a good amount of time to put together and very disappointed with the result. This is a defective product and the degree of frustration is high both in terms of money spent for a supposed higher-quality product and the time spent putting it together. Too big to disassemble and ship back. Want full refund! ... show more

  • I made this item work for me, but I would not recommend it.
Color: Washington Cherry Finish
The armoire arrived in a single package. I thought it was packaged very well and there were no indications of damage to the packaging. One of the side panels did have a small dent in the laminate. It took me roughly six hours to put this together after doing a complete inventory to see that all the parts were there. The bottom line is that all the panels are made of laminated particle board and held together with cam locks placed in pre-drilled holes. I made sure to make all connections as tight as possible without overtightening or stripping anything. While the unit was on the laying on the floor, all connections appeared to be very snug. Once I put the unit upright, I could see that it was actually very weak. If I nudged the unit slightly on it's sides it swayed easily. I could see that it needed bracing and I had a feeling that the very thin back panel, applied with tacks, was not going to be enough to keep the unit from moving. It was a disaster waiting to happen. I was able to supplement the construction with two t-brackets and four corner brackets placed over the back panel. I've included a photo. Before attaching the brackets, I pre-drilled the screw holes with a finer bit than the screws. I used 1-1/4" wood screw to attach the brackets. The top panel to the armoire is not made of the same pressed particle board that all of the other pieces are made of. It appears to be a solid piece of wood. However the texture, visible on the unfinished back cut, didn't have any grain to it and I got the sense that it was molded. The back of the top panel split in two places when I attached the back panel using the supplied tacks, and I placed the tacks dead center. The armoire now seems fairly stable and void of lateral movement, but I consider the bracing I added to be minimal. Ideally, I think the unit would be most secure if the flimsy back panel was replaced with a sheet of 1/4" plywood and screwed on. No sooner did I finish putting this thing together, than I discovered people selling and giving away used wardrobes (not the put it together yourself type) on the Nextdoor social app. I would recommend looking around for a used, well-constructed wardrobe in your neighborhood. You might have to rent a truck for a couple of hours, but I think that would be less of a hassle for a secure piece of furniture. ... show more

  • Follow the step by step instructions and definitely watch the videos.
Color: Washington Cherry Finish
Yes it did take a long time to assemble, but end product is worth it. I love how the instructions were easy to follow, and video aides very helpful. I loved how everything was labeled making it easy to identify the pieces. I especially loved how the small pieces like screws and nails were in individual pouches and labeled. Nothing worse than trying to identify the correct screw by a photo. I had a little trouble adjusting the doors. I found that when your attaching the doors with hinges it’s best to turn in the screws a little because it’s difficult to line up the screws to the holes. It’s a very sturdy unit and I would definitely buy it again! ... show more
