I was in need of a step stool with a tall handle to use for getting in and out of a cargo van. Being short, the height to climb in and out was challenging. I needed a stool that had the tall handle so that I could pick it up once I was in the van. This stool was actually fairly easy to assemble. When I tested it out with the van I was so happy at what a difference it made for me! The tall handle gave me extra support as I climbed in, so that I didn't have to just rely on the door handle. Once I was in the seat, the handle was tall enough that I could easily reach it and pull the stool up and over me. It is just small enough (without being too small) to fit into the space between the two seats. I was able to set it so the handle was facing the back, not blocking the seats. And it still allowed me the space to set my purse, etc. When getting out of the van, I just move the purse, lift the stool over and, using the handle, easily set it on the ground and can easily get down without wrenching my knees or hips like I did without it. I then found that it easily fits on the floor under the steering wheel, with the handle facing the door, leaving plenty of room to close the door. And it's right there, easy to take out when it's time to get back in. This turned out to be perfect for my need. Another example of why I am so glad I got this - I needed to change a lightbulb in a ceiling light but wasn't comfortable with getting up and down on a stool without some kind of support. I remembered my new stool, got it out of the van, and the handle gave me the support and confidence to get up and down to accomplish my task. I am short and fat and, therefore, always concerned about stools, chairs, etc supporting my weight. After the first time using this stool, I realized how strong and stable it is and have had no concerns of it breaking under my weight. So far I have not found anything negative about this stool.

Just enough height to reach items on top shelf. The step is very sturdy and holds my 245 large body. I a not very stable so the long handle to hold on to when I step up is helpful.

I just received this stepstool today. I'm in my 70's and had no trouble assembling it because all the tools I needed were included. They weren't poorly made tools either. The instructions were straightforward and simple to follow too. The next test was using it to reach my upper shelves in my kitchen cupboards. I didn't dare try this with the little stepstools that had served me well when I was younger. Finally, I felt safe again while holding onto the handle and reaching for a dish. This is a great product and it's given me back a little bit of my independence.

I mostly use this for putting clothes away in the closet. Originally I was going to use it to help me out of bed, because I have back issues & my bed is high. But just a reminder, you cannot lean on the handle without putting weight on the actual step. Since I tended to pull on it while trying to get out of bed, it wasn’t a good use for that.. however, it works out great in my closet or kitchen! It was very easy to assemble, and it seems pretty sturdy.

Had a total knee replacement and our bed is quite tall. This stool is very helpful for me getting into bed. The stool and the handle are study. I step up on the stool with both feet, then, put my unoperated knee onto the bed and roll in, using my unoperated leg to assist my operated let up and onto the bed. Very happy with the purchase.
