The knit to this cream is more beige. I expected it to be a lighter cream color. The knit fabric or material is very thin. This is not a thick, heavy tree skirt. It has 3 strings to secure it underneath the Christmas tree. It's pretty. It looks good. I used it for my 6 ft. Christmas tree. For my needs, it was a good size and was adequate for my tree. The material feels like a cardigan sweater. It is slightly less functional to put on if you have adjust it after the rest of your tree is assembled. This is due to it weighing slightly heavier than a typical tree skirt. It is closed together with strings to tie which can be slightly harder than if it were velcro. I really liked this tree skirt, but returned it because it was way too small. If they carried it in larger sizes I would have purchased one again, but regardless the product itself was nice especially for the price.
