The knit to this cream is more beige. I expected it to be a lighter cream color. The knit fabric or material is very thin. This is not a thick, heavy tree skirt. It has 3 strings to secure it underneath the Christmas tree. It's pretty. It looks good. I used it for my 6 ft. Christmas tree. For my needs, it was a good size and was adequate for my tree. I have a year long tree, so I needed something that wasn't Christmas-like for the base. I was really pleased with this! It's soft, pretty, and covers so nicely! It has held up well so far and I bought it a couple months ago. My granddaughter decorates at the bottom of the tree by changing up the village on the bottom of the tree, so it has things that go on the front of the skirt. It has held up beautifully. The material feels like a cardigan sweater. It is slightly less functional to put on if you have adjust it after the rest of your tree is assembled. This is due to it weighing slightly heavier than a typical tree skirt. It is closed together with strings to tie which can be slightly harder than if it were velcro.
