I’m 5’1 and 88 pounds for reference. The tie is separate/detached from the cardigan. It has a chevron pattern. It is lightweight, but can still provide an extra layer of warmth. I think it is a nice quality cardigan. My only con is that due to the way it was made and the material, the cardigan easily got stuck on things like my purse zipper and the spiral to my notebook. This created some snags in the material. My advice is that if you buy this, be careful not to get it stuck and snagged on anything. I got this Saodimallsu cardigan to throw on when it gets chilly in the house, and it works wonderfully! It's lightweight and stretches easily over whatever I'm wearing, but it's not heavy or hot. It's the perfect weight to combat my aunt's love of the air conditioner. (!) There are no pockets, and the tie (if you choose to use it) just goes around your waist. There are no belt loops to guide the tie through, so you can't just leave it untied with the tie hanging at your sides. Because it's a somewhat loose knit, I wash this in a large laundry/lingerie bag (to protect it from snags) on cold and then hang it to dry. It's very soft. ... show more
