  • It's 3 years later and my dashcam still uses this card
Capacity: 64 GB
Probably put 40k miles in the last 3 years, this card sat on my dashcam that oftentimes sit in the blistering sun, still works. Was reading that you have to replace sdcards every year or so on your dash cam and every additional year I'm more and more pleasantly surprised that this is surviving.

  • Outlasts Everything Else, But Still Eaten Like Wheaties
Capacity: 64 GB
TL:DR - Highly recommended for Pittasoft "BlackVue" series cameras, can get 6+ months on a 24/7 setup, but carry at least one spare, as failure is unannounced and abrupt. Warranty service is excellent, and somewhat fast, if required. Would be nice if they lasted a little longer, but such is flash. Longer version: All in all, this is an absolutely fantastic card for its intended purpose: surveillance gear. The slow-by-design speed of it isn't an issue in my gear, and actually prevents issues I have with nearly every other card when used in my Blackvue DR650GW-2CH , which feeds in one 1080p and one 720p feed, continuously, 24/7. I have been getting about 6-8 months out of these cards, which can get somewhat close to the 10,000 hour standard on the 64GB card (I used 150% for my calculations on 720 "hours" since those obviously take up less space). The gracious thing about the way mine have finally pushed up daisies is that it was abrupt. They just stopped being recognized by any device, including the dashcam, which then causes it to alert me. Many other cards will be more on the lines of slow and gradual corruption of videos or config files (if written to), well before calling it quits, which can make it frustrating, or worse if you needed the video for any reason. I have managed to get warranty replacements on the ones that failed in under one year, so there's that too, which I find extremely nice on SanDisk's side, if only a little time consuming to get going, but turnaround is fast. Although I wish they lasted longer, I can't actually justify removing a full star for it, since that's to be expected with flash memory. ... show more

  • Reliable micro SD for recording use
Capacity: 32 GB
I purchased this high-endurance micro SD card to use with a dashcam. Mine is set for 5 minute cycles, i.e. a 5-minute video is recorded, then a new file is created for the next 5 minutes, and so forth until the entire SD card is full — and then the camera overwrites the oldest files as it continues creating 5 minute videos. Obviously, that is a lot of recording during multi-hour drives. It had never occurred to me, but turns out there is a difference between your run of the mill SD card and one of these high-endurance cards, namely the ability to hold up to the constant read/write cycles. Normal cards aren't built to take the repetitive data reading/writing/deleting/overwriting required for dashcam/closed-circuit surveillance camera use. With that said, as you would expect with any SD card these days, this thing simply works. I have not measured its read/write speeds, but both are more than adequate when reviewing dashcam videos on my computer. I'll be sure to update this review if the card fails, experiences slowdowns, or has any other issues... but I don't really expect that to happen. ... show more

  • Perfect for dashcams
Capacity: 32 GB
I initially bought a regular micro SD card from SanDisk for my car's dashcam. It worked well for a bit but then one day when I wanted to pull some video off of it I found the picture to be a bit glitchy here and there. Did some digging and found that not all SD cards are made the same. For something like a DashCam or just anything thats going to be recording a lot and writing to the card for a while at a time, you need one thats made for constant abuse. This one has been holding up very for the past almost 3 months I've had it and footage from it looks the same as day 1. For the price, 32GB is a great deal for a high endurance card from a reputable brand such as this one. ... show more

  • Started melting in my card reader!
Capacity: 64 GB
I hit a freak snow storm the other day and wanted to view the footage. I pulled this card out of my dash cam and put it into my card reader that I use all the time. The card started smoking. I pulled out the card and it burned my finger it was so hot. The card reader still works with other cards. Card appears to be faulty even though it was working for a few years. ... show more

  • Works well in security cameras or dashcams.
Capacity: 32 GB
I have dashcams and IP security cameras that writing to their cards often and thought I'd try these. I have been using them for two years now and have had no issues with them, not that I really expected to since I find SanDisk cards normally work very well. It's probably too soon to report on long term reliability, but based on what I have experienced so far I think these are a good choice for constant video recording. ... show more
