This is a great net. I fish in Florida, so I don’t need a deep net like I did when I lived in Wisconsin. This is for the occasional large crappie, bass or thinly hooked fish that a net will help ensure makes it to the boat. I love how it folds up nicely. I can have it on my boat deck taking up minimal space, yet I can pick it up, give it a flick with my wrist and it is immediately open. The handle twists to unlock/lock to a longer position when needed. I love it. I had no use for the clip, so I unscrewed it and took it off the handle. The compact size with its expandability, the net being just the right diameter and depth, and the ease of opening it to its locked position make this net perfect for me. Great design.

I bought this item in October 2021 when I got my new boat, but fishing was closed. today May 10th I finally got to use the boat and my new net. the very first time I used it I landed the fish then went to rinse the net and the handle snapped off. no fish in the net just dipping it in the water to rinse it. The company saw my review and reached out and replaced the net. Great customer service. Good packaging too.

Oh what a nice well designed handle! Oh what a fragile net. We use this on our dock to pull miscellaneous stuff out of the water. Nothing extra heavy. The long handle is great for this. Very nice. Doesn't corrode in the salt water. BUT... first the net itself separated from the hoop. As you can see in the photo, I used mini wire ties to secure the net to the hoop. Mini wire ties are also used in the net to keep the net together. But then, the plastic hoop just cracked. The put a lot of design work into this product. But the working end doesn't hold up even under infrequent use.

Concerned about the handle and latch to fold down. Seems it’s not very sturdy whatsoever. Just opening it and closing it is a task with the release button and the handle not much better when extending. Finally used this and the net part at the pole end isn’t very sturdy. Doesn’t lock very well. So if you have a big fish you will need to use caution not to lose it. Disappointed.
