I have a nice bar set up, but my tools are mix and match from years of picking things up as I need them. This was a nice opportunity to get a matching set of just about all my tools with a good place to store them instead of laying around my cabinet. I am delighted that this set just about perfectly matched the listing. The listing says that the box this set comes in is giftable. I have a picture of the box attached. Yes, it is giftable. Pretty nice, actually. The set comes with the tools, the carousel, and the recipe cards on a ring and every piece comes individually wrapped in bubble wrap. I have pictures of everything in the box after being pulled out of the bubble wrap. If I had a con to list, and this is VERY nitpicky and a pretty weak con, it would be the size of the type on the recipe cards. The black type on the rustic brown of the cards with the font size they use, it is a little hard to see. I need good light to comfortably read it. But they have a great collection of standard drinks, the ingredients are on the front of the card, the instructions are on the back. There are 16 recipes total. Okay, there is another very weak con. There are no instructions to assemble the carousel. There are 3 pins with ends that unscrew and 2 acrylic disks with assorted holes and slots. It takes about 10 seconds to figure out that the pins unscrew, that the exposed threaded heads go into 3 perfectly sized holes in the acrylic disks, and that it makes a 2-tier carousel. Another 10 seconds lets you know that there is really only 1 way the 2 disks line up right. So, no, there are no instructions, but a little critical thinking gets you there. The tools are great quality. All stainless steel. The listing claims they can go in the dishwasher, and I see no reason why not considering the materials. Each hole or slot in the carousel has an item that obviously goes into it with only a couple exceptions. Well, I guess the long mixing fork/spoon is obvious where it goes, but it looks weird because it doesn't stay up. The slot has too much play to keep it upright. And you have to figure out that the tongs have to be squeezed together to fit into their assigned hole. Other than that, you can't really mess it up. The muddler is tall, so the manufacturer put a round gasket on the bottom of the carousel (close up picture attached). It's there to hold the muddler from tipping over or shifting around. That gasket is a good indicator on how the disks go together as a little hint. I have 2 pictures, 1 of each side of the carousel with all the tools in their correct spots except for the long spoon. It flops all over the place, so I didn't put it in there because it distracts from the other items. While it's on my bar, I'll put it in the slot. The shaker is pretty big (24 ounces) and the lid fits well. The corkscrew is also a bottle opener and it has a very small foil cutter. All in all, I'm delighted with this set.     • No instructions for assembly
The metal parts of this kit are pretty nice. Probably bog standard. I got this as a gift for my housemate who does all the alcohol-related stuff that I do not partake in, so I can only assume everything for mixing and muddling is ok. The holder, though, is where the headache comes. It's a simple, laser-cut acrylic set of panels with the spaces cut for rest the pieces of the set, BUT there are no instructions for assembly and no indication which tool goes where, and unless you are particularly good an 3D puzzles, this one is frustrating. Once the carousel of tools is assembled it does look good, sleek, neat on a bar top, and is easy to wipe down should there be a need to clean up a spill or otherwise. ... show more

    • Excellent Gift for Any Home, Home Bar, Man Cave, Office Gift
I cannot imagine anybody receiving an elegant gift would think less of it, unless, of course, they didn't drink. Even with that in mind, it looks absolutely expensive and fantastic just sitting on my bar in the man cave. It was not at all easy to put it together, but that might be because I used the bar set as I was putting it together! Regardless, it wasn't very hard to correct myself at the assembly! I just waited until the next day, a few coffees and 1 hour of bright sunlight! Even after all of that, I love this set, and I really think there are a ton of people I know at work, in the family, even my curmudgeonly in laws would set it up front and center. The quality and shine is fantastic, with all the finishes flawless, brushed and beautiful. The gifting part looks highly professional with plenty of additional items to bring an enjoyable opening if I did decide to give it as a gift. This is a lovely bar set and a great addition to my home bar. I love the modern and clean design with the dark colors, it looks rich and elegant. And my favorite part is how compact it is. It has a lot of parts and accessories that are all self-contained on the display rack and takes up little space. The quality is fabulous. The rack is strong and built well.     • Nice compact cocktail set
This cocktail set includes all the necessities for basic cocktail making. The shaker is a pretty lightweight shaker but closes nicely and mixes just as well as a more expensive shaker. The muddler fits nicely in your hand and is easily cleaned, and though the strainer does what its meant to its handle and back-plate is made from a really thin stamped metal and is easily bent with not very much force. The two included stoppers are very nice and have a good weight to them which help keep them in place without have to jam them in the bottle neck too hard. The cork screw is alright, it folds nice and small and has a built in foil cutter but the lifting hook end that presses against the bottle neck on removal has a weird hinge point in it and it has a tendency to 'bend awkwardly when pulling the cork out. The acrylic organizer is also pretty basic but keeps everything nicely organized and stored when not in use. ... show more
