I bought this to store birdseed on my porch. A strong toothy squirrel ate through the lids of 2 thick plastic Vittles containers (the kind they sell at pet stores for dog kibble storage- they are thick and sturdy-or so I thought.) This should do the trick to protect the stored seed . And it has a silicone o-ring on the lid to keep moisture from getting inside the can. I am hopeful and excited about this product. Now several months later, I am soooo happy with this purchase. Holds (almost ) 40# bag of hulled sunflower seeds without any climate damage.

Update jan 31, 2023: uploaded another image of the inside. No, lol. I stopped using this a long time ago, but look how much it rusted! Only water was used. Update: jul 3, 2022: uploaded 2 more photos of more rust spots that popped up, left a pool of rust at the bottom. I was ok with a little bit of rust but this is a problem. I'll update if the seller fixes the issue but don't buy this for storing water. With it rusting like it is, im not sure why you'd store it for milk either 🤷♂️ Update: may 14, 2022: uploaded three photos of rust. It started to rust around the three-week mark. Was rusting a lot in this one spot where I put putty over it which prevented the rust from forming again. Wish I had took a picture before I put the putty over it to get you an idea of the amount of rust it was producing in my water. Because of the rust issues, I'm giving this product three stars Initial review: Seems pretty good. I bought this to store my water. Construction is well made but I'm not sure how it will hold up over time because the metal seems to be on the thin side(doesnt feel cheap or flimsy, just on the thin side) but more importantly to me is the handles and other metal on the outside are welded in a handful of spots(I think its called tack welds). I would of liked to see more stronger looking welds. The tack welds looks nice though, they're smoothed and polished out. Bottom of the can has orange streaks/spots on it, looks like but can't tell if its rust, it also has a galvanized look to it compared to the rest of the can. Had a small dent on the bottom. Havnt experimented testing how leak proof it is but the lid does have a nice seal inside the lid(I I think its removable but I didn't spend to much time trying to pry it out) and the latches seem to keep it pretty tight. Interestingly, while I was cleaning it, it had black stuff (probably polish residue) inside the can, I dont think I found any on the outside. It wasn't a lot but it didn't come off with just soap and a sponge, alcohol swab worked. Very nice can, would be 5 stars if the welds looked stronger but at the same time maybe thats all this can needs 🤷♂️.

Despite that my product arrived with dents, the seller had great communication and is willing to help make you happy with your purchase. I returned my milk can and they full refund my purchase. The milk can is large, heavy duty, and would be great for fermenting. I gave five stars because of the great service and accountability of there product.
