So far this thing is awesome! It seems like a main reason why some folks don't want to use a wireless charger is because their not compatible with a pop-socket, ring, or thick cases. But we can make this work! Since this device is so small, I simply moved my phone ring socket a bit lower to the bottom of my phone, so that this charger alignes directly with the middle of my Note 10 plus. You could do the same with a pop-socket. Since I have a Spigen dual layer case, it seemed as if the wireless charger signal could be improved if I take the outer hard plastic case off. But we want the protection of the dual layer case, including the inner rubber and outer hard-shell case! So I simply positioned my phone on this charger to see where it charges the best, took note of that area, and then I cut out a circular area in my rubber inner phone case with scissors, so that the wireless charger could communicate with my phone easier and perhaps charge quicker. You would want to be sure not to cut any area of the OUTER diameter of the inner rubber Spigen like phone lining, to keep an original seal around the camera, volume or power buttons. Now that we have cut out a circular area out of our inner double layer Spigen type case which matches up with where the wireless charger can charge your phone, we can attach our outer hard plastic phone case to our inner rubber dual layer phone case. This on my Spigen dual layer phone case, will allow wireless charging on my Note 10 plus with the dual layer case ON! AND I get to keep my phone ring/pop-socket too! Plus, a 2" diameter circle cut out of your inner rubber dual layer case will decrease heat buildup on your phone, as your phone will now have an air pocket to be able to disburse heat! Best thing is, with a little cutting out of the inner rubber phone case lining, NFC tags will also work through a double layer Spigen like case also!

I picked up this Samsung wireless charger pad so I could place it around my WFH space. I'm using it to charge my phone and earbuds that are both Samsung. I noticed that while charging, the wireless charger pad has an audible motor-rotating sound. It almost sounds like the sound or slight buzzing of a fridge, but "fairly" lower. I have a different branded wireless charger in the bedroom to charge my Samsung phone at night and it is silent while charging. I don't think the motorized sound coming from the Samsung pad is a deal breaker or a big deal, but if you like to work in a quiet environment you may be able to hear what I'm trying to describe and get somewhat annoyed. I think the Samsung pad's power maybe fluctuates? Because sometimes the motorized sound "smooths" out and then next thing you know you cannot hear it anymore, before the sound spins back up. I did notice that once charging is done the noise goes away for the most part. Again, I have not noticed this with another wireless charger brand so maybe this is just how this particular Samsung pad model/gen is by design. In any case, it does a good job charging my Samsung items just fine.

My charging pad just got delivered today. So far, I haven't experienced any of the issues others have mentioned. Using the plug and wire that came with the pad, fast charging works with my Samsung Galaxy Note8 and my Active 2 watch. Neither device seems to cause the charging pad to get hot. My only negative comment is that unlike the standard watch charger, there is no magnet to keep the watch in place while charging. I don't know if the magnet causes issues with charging a phone or earbuds that they had to leave that out since it is a multi-device charging pad. However, the contoured surface keeps the watch in place as long as it is not bumped. Now I only need to take this one relatively compact charger when traveling to wirelessly charge my phone or watch.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (which can optionally come bundled with this charger) and this charging pad is perfect for dropping the case on it and charging, very quickly I should add, whenever you're not using them. If they were marketed as a charging pad for your earbuds this is an easy 5-star product, however, because it is also a fast charging pad for your phone this is where they fall just a tiny bit short. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10+ phone so it's big but certainly but by comparison it's probably right in the middle of the pack size wise. Even with this size phone this charger can be a little tricky to center correctly if you are in a rush. Granted you can probably chalk that up to user error as much as anything else however I don't think a good product should ever make it so easy to make a mistake. When the phone is centered correctly and it begins fast charging the performance is excellent; charging from a dead battery to 100% only takes a small bit longer than plugging it into the wall charger. Now back to one small complaint...because it lays flat with no option to kickstand it (again it seems like a charger designed for the earbuds) these larger phones hang off every side of the pad. This makes it extremely difficult to try and use your phone for anything while it is on the pad. Pressing a key a bit too hard that is positioned on the right of the screen (ie "p" key on the keyboard) it will cause the phone to tilt up losing contact with the pad momentarily and halting charging not to mention it makes sending even the shortest of text messages a potentially annoying task while on the pad. I highlighted mostly bad things because I feel that's what differentiates one product from another but don't let the overall negative effect of that dissuade you. Its still a great charger, small and sleek, just with its flaws. I would buy it however I'd prefer to have the newer version which appears to be a larger pad.
