Stay away from any of these watches refurbished especially. I have bought 2 and they lasted for a month or so and then go into the reboot circle of death. They always make the excuse of the battery. If they are refurbished shouldn’t they come standard with a new battery? That’s what refurb is in my opinion. This is the only watch that will pair with iPhone but honestly I’m getting sick of droid Samsung junk. Will probably go I watch. I just like the round watch with bezel ... show more

I've wanted this watch for a few years. Its a good durable watch by samsung. I used to work in a QA factory where Id prep these and apple watches for resale. Apple had about a 60% pass rate while these watches had about 80-90% pass rate. Theres good options for bands, from silicone to leather to metal, very easy to change. The notched bezel rotates for menu navigation, and is also very durable as a functional piece as well. It also is pretty customizable with widgets as well as watch face options via store, built in, or through a 3rd party companion app. Syncs with Samsung and POTENTIALLY iPhone phones. (Very confident that it works, and well, via reddit post.) I personally do like the traditional watch look of the device itself, and with its design and touch screen location, its much harder for the screen to recieve damage. Screen protectors very easy to get and install. Onto the only cons i can think of. The charger does come with the wireless charging mount and USB cord. The mount provided is NOT samsung brand, meaning the device wont charge properly, and can potentially cause the battery to grow defective, or just lost longevity. That being said, I already see a slight impact on my devices life because of this, and hoping switching to the proper charger will fix that. (Fast charging, and longer life.) This is my only reasoning for the 4 star rating. This is a VERY solid watch, i even chose OVER the newest, regardless of whatever features the newest has. At an $80 price point (i was lucky enough to purchase at for excellent condition refurb) this is an excellent watch, i wouldve happily spent up to 120 on. I strongle encourage purchasing a samsung brand dock, OR finding a 3 in one charging station or 2 in one for phone and watch. If you want a watch and dont know what to choose? This one. Bought it refurbished. Saved about $60. Had a few scratches on the rotating bezel, but none on the glass, or the case, or the back. My first smartwatch, I'm 69 years old. Not a bad learning curve at all. Everything works and it's easy to set up and customize, especially using the smartphone Gear app. I work nights, 3rd shift, and have been shopping for a nice day-of-week and date quartz or automatic. Frustrated by the fact that either the day/date took 4 hours to roll over (half of my work day) or the watches cost way too much. I hit on this product accidentally while surfing. After an initial flurry of watch face buying to see what's out there and trying a bunch, I settled on a handful of analog watch faces that I rotate through every few days. This watch will do the AOD (always-on display), which I've tried for a few work shifts. But it uses battery at more than twice the normal rate, which for me is Gesture-On/Gesture-Off. And I'm not sure why anybody would use AOD, since the Gesture (i.e. the act of looking at your watch by rotating your wrist) will display it anyway when you need it, unless folks are using AOD for OP (other people). It's big, a 46mm case, but my Hamilton Automatic is the same size, so I don't notice the size. This weighs about half of my Hamilton. I don't like rubber/silicon watch straps, so I immediately replaced the default strap with a black 22mm clasp bracelet. Looks good. ... show more

So, I decided to bite the bullet and buy a refurbished gear s3 frontier. I've been wanting one for awhile, but the new ones are just extremely pricey. Besides some wear and tear on the bezel, the watch looks pretty good. I also got a bezel cover so the watch looks good as new. The battery is amazing on this thing! I had a fossil gen 4 explorist before, and the battery would die within 12 hours. I'm a nurse, I work 12 hour shifts, I need my watch the entire shift! This battery, without charging and normal use, has lasted so far 2 days and 13 hours with 14% battery life still. I know there were some complaints about the charger, mine came with the watch charger plus a white charging block. I'm pretty sure that it's not the original but *shrug* it works pretty well. Besides, if the charging block and cord crapped out, I've been an android user long enough that I have spare cords lying about. I wasn't really expecting the original charger anyway with this being a refurbished item. Another feature I thought was pretty cool is that when your watch is too far from your phone, it switches to a standalone watch. So it still works, you just don't get your notifications. I don't have mine set up through my carrier, I decided to just attach my phone by Bluetooth instead. So if anyone is iffy about buying this watch that has been refurbished, I say, take the chance. Had this for over a year and it works great. Work blue collar so this thing takes abuse and it’s never broken or even scratched. Holds the charge all day. Charges very fast. Tracks fitness well. Change the watch face and it looks fashionable when dressing up
