  • My watch is great. It lets me receive alerts from Facebook
My watch is great. It lets me receive alerts from Facebook, email, text. For a busy person, it lets me stay connected without having to stop and look at my phone. I love all the features on this watch. The timer and stopwatch are great. The pedometer, exercise, and heart rate feature are fantastic and these features are great for the gym. The watch is very light but durable. The features are very easy to read. I also love the fact that there is an app that lets me customize the watch face. I love being able to change the band on my watch. The watch is reasonable priced and a great addition to my Samsung phone. ... show more

  • Great Not Over the Top Fitness Watch
This is a great watch. I read other complaints about certain features about it and I can say I either know why they are happening and people are incredibly picky, or I somewhat agree. People say the step counter is off; well this watch has an accelerometer in it, therefore when you move your arm a specific way it will count a step, or turn on the screen, or what have you from the way the accelerometer is translating direction. Therefore if you are vacuuming out your car and moving your arm the same direction as you would when you are walking and swinging your arms; then yes it will count that as a step. Most of these fitness trackers use this method; some will use heart rate which also has its faults. If you have an adrenaline spike when you are sitting from something happening and you are not moving; it will consider you running. None of these smart watches are perfect unless you would like to have a chip planted in your head to know what your thinking and know all of your hormone levels. I know when my steps are going to be accurate and when they will not. Such as if I am doing an activity that requires the movement of my arms in a forward direction but I am not walking; my step count will be off. There is a delay when you turn your arm to look at the watch or sometimes it will not turn on. This is because of the accelerometer again. When you turn your wrist up to see the face of the watch, there is a slight pause before it turns on. The software inside has this on purpose because within that split second of you moving your wrist up, it decides whether you are just moving your wrist in general or you want to look at the watch. I personally have had no problems with this at all. I have even held my wrist up to look at the screen from a weird angle and it still turned on. Overall I really like this watch and it does well for what I need. The communication with S health is great if you are running, walking or cycling; however if you choose another sport, it doesn't communicate with the Gear Fit. Such as I chose snowboarding on the 'other sports' on S Health (phone); the Gear fit does not go into 'fitness mode' where it tracks your heart rate and time you have exercised and such, it will stay in common mode, which is one of the reasons it got 4 stars. However if you run, walk, or cycle with the gear fit on, you cannot see it on SHealth on your phone until you are finished with the workout. Which is ok by me. I don't want to look at my phone and see where I am fitness wise until I am done. However after the workout, the Gear Fit sends all the information to your phone to review which is great. You can see text messages, calls, calendar appointments, alarms, timers, and other alerts if you so choose (instagram, facebook, etc). I have yet to get email on my Fit which seems to be a common problem. It does not make sound but it does vibrate when there is an alert. The sleep feature seems pretty accurate. It tells you when you were light sleeping, heavy sleeping, or having lots of movement. It perfectly synced to all the times I had to get up to let the dog out the other night. Very cool watch. Very good for a refurbished item. Probably wouldn't purchase for $200 (retail) though. There are many options out there however I chose this because it interacts with SHealth which comes with Samsung. If you are looking for something to help track workouts, get messages on your wrist, and aren't too worried about if the step count or anything is SUPER accurate I would highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Works great!
Works as good as the original. I like how it syncs easily to your phone so I can see emails, texts, and phone calls at a glance! Seems fairly accurate for steps but doesn't continuously track your HR unless you're in one of the exercises modes, which is usually the only time you really need to see your HR anyway. It's great for when you need the best of both worlds as a fitness tracker and a smart watch, but not great for use if you only need one or the other. ... show more

  • This thing is HUGE and it didn't even work with my Samsung device - Returned!
Useless, as the app is not available in the Google Play store. I have a Samsung phone, but it won't work with a Samsung device - Go Figure! So, I've wasted a lot of time AND it's costing me money to return it. As for the product itself - it is HUGE! Even if it worked, I was really disappointed and shocked with how giant it is. Get a FitBit Alta - my friends have one and love it, and it's not enormous on their arms. ... show more

  • Great Replacement For My Gear 2 Neo
I bought this watch to replace my Gear 2 Neo which was causing skin irritation where the charging contact touched my wrist. This watch causes no skin irritation and has all of the great features I loved from my Gear 2 Neo. The only absent features are those concerning voice input and the speaker, but I felt silly talking to my watch like Dick Tracy anyway. I've read some reviews concerning the accuracy of the pedometer in which some users have accused the watch of under-reporting steps. I have found this to be absolutely false. I am a gymnastics coach, so I am very active during the day, but I don't take an exorbitant amount of steps. With my first smartwatch (pebble), with traditional pedometers, and especially with my phone in my pocket, I have found that they record arm and body movements while standing still as steps, resulting in an over-reporting of total steps. With my Gear 2 Neo and now with my Gear Fit I find that the number of steps reported is MORE ACCURATE as they don't record arm movements like spotting athletes and gesturing as steps. As a business owner, I love being able to glance at my wrist while I'm working to decide if a text or email is urgent enough to warrant immediate action or if it can wait until after I'm done coaching. The Gear Fit is smaller than the Gear 2 Neo and less likely to bump into things while I'm working. Overall, this is a great smart watch with all of the features I need and more. Especially at this super low re-furbished price, I highly recommend it! ... show more
