We bought this for our five year old nephew for his birthday.....and he loved it! He loves toy cars and the typical "boy things". We knew folks would get him plenty of such items for his b-day, and we were right. My husband and I wanted something different that would bring him outdoors, be fun, be educational, be different and spark his imagination. Check, check, check, check and check! This met all those requirements. I wasn't sure if he'd want to wear the vest and hat, but my husband was sure he would, and he was correct. He's been playing with it constantly for over a week and everything has stayed together. The items looks like they're made pretty well., and I think should last for a while. I would certainly recommend this for any child, male or female, who enjoys discovering new things outside. If you aren't sure, get it for them and have them learn to appreciate nature! It contains all the cool things that kids love. The only downside I have with this items is that Amazon sends it in the box in all comes in. If they bang up the box a bit, the gift will come in a banged up box. Ours arrived at our house in perfect condition, but I'm just saying. Another thing: The box doesn't show what's inside. When our nephew opened the gift, he sort of put it to the side because he didn't know what was inside. Once he opened the box, he got all excited and couldn't wait to try everything. Two minor negatives, but something to be aware of.

Both my 5 and 9 year old boys love this but the 9 year old really likes it a lot. It looks nice and wears well. We’ve added a few iron patches to ours and it’s been used for pretend safari, Dino exploration, fishing and anything else the boys can come up with to use it. It’s been great.

I purchased this for my 3 year old great grandsons birthday and it was a hit with the entire family. They were getting ready to head for Maine on vacation and this gift fit in perfectly. I got so much for my money, it was the best deal ever. I highly recommend it.
