Cases are subjective and it depends on what you are after for your zfold4 so I will try to give my fair assessment of this product. If you are looking for a minimal case to prevent scratches and marks during daily use, and if your are careful with your phones - this is a perfect case. The case back "is" leather but not your typical what you'd think or expect (Samsung actually states this is the real deal and not vegan or faux leather) - the front piece is plastic. Fitment is excellent and yes, you'll have to use the tape for the front cover to ensure everything stays tight (back cover does not use or need tape). I have no need for the s pen, if you do then this case is probably not for you. I have purchased half a dozen high dollar cases for this phone and have been disappointed in all of them becuase of one or more failures in functionality or design (too thick, can't wireless charge, sloppy fitment, built in screen protector, erratic hinge protection movement, cheap feeling, and the list goes on) - this is the first case that meets most of my criteria. That is the true problem with this phone, you have to prioritize your needs from an accessory standpoint. I happen to like minimal cases to keep an already bulky phone in check. My only gripe so far is the price is a bit absurd but the zfold4 is the fancy new flagship phone so accessories are always going to be a premium. If you are going to swap cases a lot, I can see a couple of potential issues with this case - 1. You'll need to be careful removing the front cover after initial install as the tape is quite strong and you could break the front portion. 2. I don't know how well the tape holds up after multiple swaps. 3. How the leather holds up - only time will tell. ... show more

This is my second purchase. I got one in August 2023, and purchased another one in March 2024. I d say it lasted me a decent amount of time. It only broke because I tend to play with the front part by plucking it, and eventually after 7 months, it broke. However, if you just leave the case be, it should be fine. I had normal use marks in my older one before I threw it away, but it was still usable and hard to tell. I hope it will last me longer till I get fold 7 or 9. lol. lets see. I tried 3 different cases and this is my favorite! Feels great in hand and held up great! The front is plastic, rear is softer leather. Held with double sided adhesive, so you want to leave it on and not remove. This is a little troublesome when switching SIMs when traveling, but mine has held up well for 2 years. ... show more

Really like the fit and finish on this case for my Samsung Z fold 4. For the back cover, it does have a soft leather feel to it which is nice, for the front cover feel more like plastic but it does stay attached, haven't drop the phone yet but looks like it will stay on. No front cover to protect screen... That's really the main reason I need a phone case as I already have a cracked screen. So it's a front piece and no front screen you can put your hand right through the front cover. . . Definitely wish I invested in a better case.

Very nice case, Samsung quality, leather is lovely. And the price is incredible - I bought two. I should mention I'm using this on a Fold5, and the fit is very acceptable. I drilled a hole in the back cover to correspond to the camera flash, as that was about the only generation change. A bargain!

As with most of the cases for the folds and flips, there will be adhesive. The material is good, but it scratches easily. Someone recommended getting double-sided tape for the adhesion in case you need to take it off and switch cases. Still, for $12, this is great!
