I upgraded to the 44mm Watch 9 from a Galaxy Watch 5 that served me well for many many years. The performance difference is night and day, opening apps and navigating swiftly instead of lagging. Gemini/Voice recognition is nearly instant too instead of waiting 10 seconds for it to process and query. The biggest jump though was definitely the battery life! I usually go for a workout first thing in the morning followed by a full day at work. With the watch 5 I was lucky to get to lunch before it was low on battery, often needing a recharge just to survive til I was back home. The watch 9 though is INSANE! I am wearing this thing from 6am til 10pm and when tossing it on the charger at the end of the day it's got 60%+ remaining life. I'm confident I could wear it to sleep track and then charge it while showering the next day to make it easily through 24 hrs no sweat. Definitely worthy if you're a few years back and want some future proofing. Will update as time goes on, I know this honeymoon period wears off quick. ... show more

The watch itself arrived in perfect condition and so far i like it! I wasnt a big fan of square circle ish form factor like this one till i got mine, now that im using it i feel like this new form factor is actually not that bad. I literally just upgraded my watch from galaxy watch 6 to 9 and duhh the upgrades are significant. Its fluid and has many new features. The only downside is the charging speed. It takes 2 hours is to get it full which is way slower compared to my watch 6 that only takes ~1 hour. But fortunately the battery life is good. And also the strap is really short but still usable. Is it worth the money? Well i got myself a 50$ amazon gift card so the value of the watch itself was only ~329 bucks, for someone who just upgraded from watch 6 this is way to go but if you have watch 7 or 8, i wont suggest you to get this watch. ... show more

Watch looks good and was easy to setup. New to Samsung watches, always had fitbit. First, it does everything the other watches do but software is not as intuitive. Actually rather clumsy. Battery. I knew going into this purchase that I would get maybe 30 hours per charge, Fitbit Sense gave me 3 days. But what I wasn't expecting was that the watch takes 90 minutes to charge. Tried three different power blocks including a 43w fast charge. My fitbit charged for 3 days in 20 or so minutes. As others mentioned watch band was too small, had to order a larger band. I like many things about the watch but battery issues may be a deal breaker. May be returning it. Not happy. ... show more

I have been wanting a Samsung Galaxy watch for quite some time now. I come to see the 9 was coming out, so I went ahead and pre-ordered. I set it up, and I absolutely have been loving it. I am able to track so many things health wise, which I was looking forward to especially with upcoming heart problems that began recently. I also love that when I am away from my phone I am able to see my notifications, especially if something urgent or important is happening. Very smooth, pretty Smart Watch. Really cannot complain. It has newer features than the previous watches, and it is fun to explore around. :) ... show more

A full battery charge has a very short duration. In spite of turning off the "Always On Display", the continuous Heart Rate Monitor, and other functions that Samsung support said to turn off, I had to take the watch off and recharge 3x on one of the days I had it and 2x on the other days I had it before returning it to Amazon. Since I was told by Samsung to return by delivery service for examination on warranty only 4 or 5 days after purchase, I gave "Defective" as the reason for return. For me it was a huge drain on my time and patience for an expensive watch whose battery could not support its promised functions. ... show more

BEWARE THE TINY WRIST BAND!! Disappointing experience. Was excited to get the Galaxy 9 watch and ordered it the day after it was released. The watch itself seems nice... but this 2 star review is because I need to order a watch band that actually fits my wrist. The one that came in the box might fit a toddler or tiny human... but it will not wrap around my wrist - and I am a medium sized human. 5'11 - I don't have large hands or wrists... now its going to cost another 20ish bucks and a few days before I can even use the thing. Very disappointing... I did not have an option to select a band size when I bought the watch... and apparently Samsung thinks toddlers wear their product. Bad joke of an experience. Samsung saved a few bucks with a tiny wrist band... and I spent a few extra. Garbage experience. Samsung, you guys suck for that. ... show more

Functionality is very good but it comes at a price in battery utilization. Watch must be charged daily: 1-2 hours. That is the only real complaint. It does take a while to figure out and configure the watch so you get the settings and health measurements you need, especially given battery considerations. You can get better life if you shut down all the auto measurements, wifi, and stick to a simple dark display. Lots of data on-line to help. The display is very good even is sun. Band is silicon so does not breath. It can be easily replaced with inexpensive, comfortable cloth ones. ... show more
