  • It has voice assist and works will with Samsung Health
I got this nice simple smart watch at Amazon Renewed for half the cost of a new one. It was like new and I had no idea how much it tells you if you link it with your Samsung phone. I just bought it to keep track of my walking but then I found it was keeping track of where I was, the temperature, the stress levels, my heartbeat. It also has a great charger included that does not have to be plugged into it. It snaps and sits on my nighstand. It also has many watchfaces to choose from and bold number and can be adjusted to see at night and from pretty fair away. it also speaks the time, which can be turned off. it does a lot more than I expected. I was going to get a fitbit, but its uses are limited. and it was more expensive ... show more

  • I wish it worked on an iPhone
I bought one of these years ago to see if I'd like it. I liked it so much I bought one for my wife. It does about everything you could expect a smartwatch to do provided that you have an Android phone. It accepts NORMAL 20mm straps!! No proprietary straps needed (*cough* APPLE!!) It tracks the things, it does the stuffs, it gives the notifications. It tracks sleep, steps, and heart rate just fine. I traded it for a Galaxy 4. Bad idea. The 'cheaper' Active 2 is light years better than the G4. I lost the G4 (thankfully) and bought another Active 2. Then I got an iPhone. Ugh. There is no feasible way to pair a Samsung watch to an Apple phone and it really ticks me off. I acquired an older Series 6 Apple watch that is a piece of boiled garbage. Battery life on the Samsung is 2 days, mayyyyybe 3. The Apple watch doesn't last a day and newer models aren't any better. If you have an Android this watch, at this price, is a no brainer. ... show more

  • DOA
Despite my apprehension to buy a refurbished watch I gave it a try to save $50 - $60 over the new watch. Watch arrived and immediately tried to power on, but it was dead. Pulled out the generic wireless charger that came with it and attempted to charge the watch. After a few minutes the screen showed 0% charged and then 5 minutes later it showed 1%. I left it alone for another 30 minutes and came back to find a red triangle with a thermometer symbol (battery is overheating). Picked up the watch and it was burning hot. I thought I'll see if it powers on and it did! So excited...NOT!! It lasted a few minutes and then turned off. Put on charger again and received the red triangle symbol again and it never charged again. I went in to Amazon to start the return and saw the price on a new watch came down $50 which was $20 more than the refurb.. Instead of getting a replacement I got a refund and bought a new watch. Do yourself a favor and buy the new watch!! These refurbs aren't worth the savings!! ... show more

  • Does (most of) what it's supposed to
I bought this mainly to track runs and because it was the one option that has Tidal integration. I was hoping to be able to download my running playlist and leave my phone behind. Alas, the Tidal integration is terrible. In fact, it doesn't really work at all - constant crashes, extreme lags in responding to commands, if at all, and seems to occupy enough RAM as to stop all other functions (like fitness tracking). So that main feature I was looking for was a bust, but from what I can tell, that's largely on Tidal and not the watch. Once Spotify releases Hi-Fi, this should all be resolved. Beyond that, the watch is pretty great. Battery life is good, usually lasting about 3 days between charges if worn (though I keep it on silent with minimal notifications getting passed from the phone). I appreciate the heart rate and sleep tracking, though it tends to think you're sleeping pretty much the whole time you're in bed, even if awake watching TV or something. The refurbished unit seems to work great. I don't know what the battery would be on a new one, but I have no complaints about the performance here. Other than that open-ended question, it appears as-new. ... show more

  • Great functional and stylish watch!
I finally understand why Samsung is the leader. This watch is outstanding when I sync it with my S20 FE. The sleep tracting is beyond accurate, the 4 measured levels are spot on. It shows the right time that I normally get up in the middle of the night for my relief run. Blood pressure is within 2 points of my arm cuff monitor. That said, the battery life is NOT 3 days like the advertisement says. The most of gotten the week I've owned it has been 30 hours with moderate use, 13% remaining. I've been changing settings to extend that and will update if I find the right combination. Finally, this is a renewed purchase and was sent in great shape. I've never liked the pleather watch bands and the one that came with it are typical. This watch checked 99% of my checklist for a great wearable. And Samsung pay app worked instantly. Contactless pay without having to take out your phone is a great thing these days. Update 2/2/21 : After 24 hour period I'm at 55%! Battery settings to extend time between charging; 1. Turn off watch always on (set screen time out to 10 seconds), 2. Turn off Wi-Fi, 3. Turn down brightness to at least 7, 4. Turn off sound to vibrate, 5. Power mode is standard, 6. Turn off location (you can turn it back on if you use the exercise mode for tracking), 7. Lastly you can turn on the volume for specific notifications, ie. ringtone, media, system etc. I have them all turned off but you can still get vibration notifications for all of them. These settings should get me to that magical 3 day mark. One last recommendation, turn on the wake up gesture feature and by flicking your wrest you can wake up and turn off the watch screen. The setting can be found in the wearable app under advanced settings. This is a really great feature if you driving, allows you to keep one hand on the wheel!!! ... show more
