I have used computers at work for 30 years but only recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy tablet. I probably could have found options and functions by trial and error but a manual was the more efficient choice. The author gives step by step instructions with plenty of illustrations. Once shown the functions I can easily incorporate and use those functions. I also looked for any community college classes, etc. and found none. This book is current and worth the purchase price. Would definitely recommend the book to others. ... show more

Being the "dummy" that I am, I purchased this book to learn what I can do with my Galaxy 6S Lite. The book is easy to follow....except. It told me how to talk/type and how the keyboard looks. But doesn't tell me the basic of "where did the typing go in the tablet when I finished?". At least I can't find it on my own. Otherwise it's a pretty good book like most of the For Dummies books. ... show more

I'm only on Chapter 7 right now. But, It is helping me now. First few chapters were slow and not much help for me. But, now I am getting into things I don't understand and the book is helping. After, I have read more of the book I will give another review. I am glad that I have the book.

This book was written in 2019. It is now the end of 2023. Is this book useful for a new to me Galaxy Tab 8+? This is by far the best rated book among the 5 or 6 Tab 8 books I reviewed which have no more content than the Samsung User Manual.
