  • Amazing Piece of Tech
Color: Gray Size: 256GB Configuration: Wifi
Amazing piece of technology. The display is really good. The software is actually optimized for tablet use thanks to One UI, unlike older Samsung tablets. Samsung does not hold anything back software wise in this product and I'm expecting the same in the upcoming Android 10 update which is expected to come in April 2020 (supposedly). My gripes with this device are all hardware based. No headphone jack, which is a deal breaker to some, including me. Until recently I just gave in, because this is the best Android tablet in the market and I needed that after owning the Galaxy Note 10.1 for forever (Yes, that very old one). The display is 60 Hz and not 90 or more like the iPad Pro which the Galaxy Tab S6 is clearly competing with. That is because when this product launched, no AMOLED panel was capable of more than 60 Hz (reliably at least), so I don't think Samsung was there yet. But when it comes to display panels, Samsung keeps the best for itself. The display is really that good and that's why you won't feel like you're missing out. The S Pen is reliably good, meaning, the performance is consistent, so you feel confident when you decide to use it. But the S Pen is light in weight, which gives it this slightly cheap feeling. I think the light weight of the S Pen is intentional. Samsung wanted the S Pen to be comfortable to use and feel like a normal pen/pencil, which it does. But I guess there is a very small line between feeling light yet high quality and feeling light and cheap. And Samsung missed that line. To wrap up (TL;DR): + Amazing display. + Great build quality. + Best sounding speakers in a tablet. + Polished and optimized OS and UI. - Slightly cheap feeling S Pen. - No headphone jack. - Display no higher than 60 Hz. ... show more

  • Galaxy Tab S6 is a must have! Galaxy Tab S6 is a must have!
Color: Gray Size: 256GB Configuration: Wifi
This product is great, the battery lasts FOREVER!! The screen looks great, very HD vibrant colors. (Just keep a cleaning microfiber cloth nearby if you don't use a screen protector, as you'll be wiping fingerprints quite often!) The S Pen is amazing, love using it as a stylus and using it in drawing apps is great. Great sensitivity and response, no lag time whatsoever. My only disappointment is I can't find OEM replacement S pen nib tips sold by Samsung, only third parties which I don't trust. I can't believe they don't offer replacements?? Unfortunately one tip has already gotten quite damaged on the end i'm not even sure how just noticed it looked like it was squeezed with finger nails at the tip and its gnarled up. Idk if it came like that and I didn't notice? I didn't want to use the extra gray tip it came with, as i'm worried using it without a screen protector, due to it being a harder tip. So I wish i could find a way to get an OEM soft tip replacement! Also my only other issue is the item came packaged in a TSHIRT BAG with NO PADDING!! So the box was destroyed. They need to pad electronics I mean come on. Other than that, I got this for drawing and while there are several apps for this on Android, none compared to Procreate unfortunately. The only one that came close was Sketchbook. ... show more

  • Wonderful tablet
Color: Gray Size: 256GB Configuration: Wifi
I guess the old saying "You get what you pay for" will forever ring true. I have used Samsung products for over 10 years now and they have proven to make great products. ( I am in no way paid or given anything by anyone to leave this review.) The S6 is definitely a nice tablet and with its 8gigs of RAM and 256 internal storage it makes it a Damn nice tablet.. The S6 has a beautiful screen the colors are vibrant and true. The 2560x1600 makes your videos and pictures very vivid.. The tablet is snappy and quick with almost zero delay with your normal day to day task. I got the 10.5 inch screen which is awesome for any of your media needs. The ability to expand up to 1tb external memory makes this tablet a hard act to follow. It puts to shame other brands of tablet , especially one's that make outrageous claims that usually don't pan out. I will end this review with i noticed a few of the reviewers were IPad users, So of course they are not going to give an Android device any kind of love. One thing I have noticed with Android users and Apple users is that they either like one or the other with almost zero middle ground. Once you've become accustomed to one OS the other will seem aggravating or even dumb. But the truth is they are both awesome in their own right considering just 20 years ago what I am doing right now was only privileged to the rich and powerful or the government. Anyways the S6 is a great tablet and have no complaints..... yet... ... show more

  • ARTISTS PAY ATTENTION
Color: Rose Size: 128GB Configuration: Wifi
I bought the tablet because I am a tattoo artist and I wanted it for making stencils and to draw on. But Samsung does NOT specialize in arts or drawing applications. FACTS: Apple is better for it! And their pencil is the best on the market. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS TABLET FOR DRAWING is you get 3rd party apps which just dont work that great! Sketchbook is the best one, and it doesn't give you that SHARP and clear drawing the Ipad will on procreate. APPLE costs more but if you're an artist save yourself the trouble get the one designed for the drawing. Otherwise this tablet is just a large phone and I use my Galaxy note 8 a lot more. It WORKS to make stencils for tattooing but to draw and make beautiful digital artwork? Not going to happen. Save yourself the headache. The reason I dislike the drawing apps on Samsung SO MUCH is because they are a STAMP brush meaning the pattern never changes. Apple has responsive brushes that give you a changing, adaptive strokes. Final review: This is an amazing tablet that is powerful but it is NOTTTT A computer! It is a large phone and will not run Photoshop or other apps like it :( Only smaller less inclusive version of the apps. This tablet is great for any web surfing, multitasking, game playing and movie watching. It is amazing! The screen is beautiful and even comes with the S pen which I use a lot. The S pen gimics are over rated and 9/10 times I'm using the button on the pen only to take screenshots. This artist is switching to the ipad ONLY for the drawing. Samsung phone all the way. ... show more

  • High quality product, but something is missing!
Color: Gray Size: 128GB Configuration: Wifi
Used it for a day and even though I haven't used most of its features, I decided to give my feedback on this brief experience. First of all, initial tablet was received with a cracked screen, totally inoperative, wouldn't even switch on. Very disappointed with that since I had homework piling up and really needed that for note taking. Amazon was very responsive and almost immediately sent a replacement. A big A+ there for Amazon which in my opinion have an excellent customer service, that haven't seen anywhere else! The shipping company probably mishandled the package. Better packaging is probably necessary for long distance shipments, since some shippers don't take care of the packages anyway. The replacement was received and I am glad that it was received one piece! I had to jump right into lecture note taking, since this is the main reason for me getting this tablet. I tried quite a few note taking apps. Samsung Notes works very well, handwriting recognition is excellent. OneNote was downloaded from GooglePlay, but I was kind of disappointed to see that this app is not quite as the corresponding Windows 10 app. Windows actually has OneNote and OneNote 2016, the former being the latest app that goes with Windows 10. Nevertheless, OneNote was really good with the Tab S6. I really exhausted its capabilities for 8 hours straight and what really worked for me was a combination of the tablet app with the W10 app. Handwriting on the tablet and some corrections and formatting with the laptop. Also briefly tested some other note taking apps, which didn't really do the trick. Was disappointed with MS Word, which only provides the reading only feature on the tablet, unless you buy the paid version with Office 365. Some other apps were not as good as expected, mostly because the demos I watched were under the iOs or Microsoft platform. This is probably the point where this tablet lags against the iPad Pro for example, not because it is less powerful, but because some iOs apps are more refined. Apart from note taking apps, I tested some other features and looked great. Battery looks excellent for now. I run the tablet nonstop for 8 hours and battery went from fully charged to 88%. I used the dark background mode of the OneNote not only for saving the battery but found that it is more relaxing to the eyes as well. Charging the S Pen is a little tricky. I'm not sure if this can charge with the tablet switched off, which I think should. When the S Pen discharged, I had it plugged in (attached at the back) and was fully charged within a couple of minutes. Then suddenly went down to 70% in a couple of minutes. So I need to figure out how this works. Fingerprint recognition worked great, until I had a screen protector attached. Then nothing. Probably it is the screen protector to blame, I hope it was not the automatic update of the software. Overall, it seems to be an excellent tablet. It is fast and responsive. I just hope it is sturdy as well, because no matter how careful you are, at some point it will fall or press against something. I haven't purchased the Samsung keyboard case, just a regular hard case, which also looks very good and everything is protected. Highly recommended product. Finally a big PLUS to Amazon for the excellent service. I probably wouldn't be able to sleep at night buying this from anyone else. After the first excellent impression with this tablet, I wasn't impressed with its overall performance in note taking. It's probably excellent for to-do lists or writing your shopping list on the go, but why buy a $700 tablet to do this, when you can these with a phone? When you need to do some advanced lecture note taking you realize that you cannot do, for a number of reasons. First of all, android apps are way behind iOS and Windows. Second, the screen is slightly small for this task, especially when the screen is split between the keyboard or handwriting pad with the rest of the app. Bottom line, this cannot compete with iPad Pro. Gave this 4 stars and not less, because it seems to be a refined machine with a good processor. BUT NOT for taking lecture notes! ... show more

  • This is how Android tablets should have always been.
Color: Gray Size: 256GB Configuration: Wifi
I absolutely love the Tab S6. But I don't think you should get the keyboard case. It is definitely overpriced. If you had a Galaxy Note Pro, this tablet is like a current iteration of those. It is lighting quick, buttery smooth, and super portable. Like a 10.5in Note 10+. If you want it to be, the Tab S6 can be your laptop. It also syncs well with any Samsung/Android, Gear/Galaxy Wearable, or Bluetooth devices. The S Pen acts great as a mouse and is extremely precise. Dex mode is very comparable to the Windows desktop layout. The battery does last all day for me. The S Pen gestures are pretty gimmicky though, but there is you like to try. The 6GB 128GB version should be good for most, but the 8GB 256GB version is slightly faster and a little more future proof. Plus both models can be expanded to 1TB is you need. I would like there to be a 12in version, but the 10.5in is great at feeling smaller than it really is. Tanks to the extremely thin bezels. The face scanner is not as secure but is very fast. As well, the under-screen fingerprint scanner can be finicky at times, but extremely cool and fast when it does work. It works about 9/10ths of the time. The screen is gorgeous as well. The best for binging Movies, TV, and Pictures. I would definitely snag it as long as it is or sale. If you want a super portable light workload Tablet, and you are not locked into the Apple ecosystem or not into the Surface Pro line. Than the Tab S6 pared with a kickstand case, your choice of slim Bluetooth keyboard (Bluetooth mouse optional) is a great choice. ... show more

  • A Worthy replacement for my aging Galaxy Tab S
Color: Gray Size: 128GB Configuration: Wifi
I recently purchased the Galaxy Tab S6 to replace my aging Galaxy Tab S (yes, I still have a working Original Tab S). Although my original Tab S is still operational it is missing some key features that just don't quite make it a go to slate for me anymore. The S6 has a modern in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock (even though the latter isn’t as secure) which provide much faster and easier access to my secure apps. Both tablets have a beautiful AMOLED screen but the S6 screen is larger and brighter. Let's talk about this beautiful piece of hardware. It is a sleek all metal beautifully made tablet redesigned from the ground up and released August 2019. Samsung never compromises on their S series tablets, these flagships contain the latest tech and highest specs available on any Android tablet. Right now this is the most powerful Android tablet on the market, also the most expensive. I’ve been using the S6 for almost a week and am really enjoying the experience. It has a 7040mAh battery, the provided charger is a 15W charger, but I did my first charge after 4 days of use using my USB-C 60W Techmaster Charger. The battery went from 0-100% in a little over an hour that equates to a 25W Charging speed. I went from 0-60% in less than 30 minutes, not bad. Face unlock is fast, sometimes ambient lighting can cause it to fail but it works regardless of the tablet’s orientation. In-display Finger unlock is solid, works every time. I’ve seen a lot of folks complaining about Samsung’s in-display unlock… I don’t know what they are talking about. Compared to the rear mounted biometric sensor on the Galaxy Note 8 it is just as fast and just as accurate. To me it seems to work better as the sensor area is slightly larger. I’ve tried it in different orientations and it just works every time. Perhaps those with problems have a screen protector which is impacting the scanner performance. This slate is fast, very fast the Qualcomm 855 processor powers through any task. Every app just pops on the screen with no delay, I am a multi-tasker so run multiple apps at once in pop-up view and I have seen no lag or response issues. I also have the Type Cover so this makes multi-tasking even better as it is easy to switch between tablet and laptop mode with the flip of the cover. The cover also gives additional protection to your S Pen, the magnet hold is not as strong as I’d like. The mag mount can deliver 10 hours of S Pen charge in just a few minutes. The new S Pen has some new Air Moves and provides even higher 4,096 pressure levels for even greater precision. It can also be used to control the camera shutter or as a presentation clicker. Below I’ve compared the specs from the recently released Galaxy Tab S6 Lite to the Galaxy Tab S6. This mid-range slate will get you in the door at a much lower price point but with some major compromises. Galaxy Tab S6 Lite | Galaxy Tab S6 10.4" TFT LCD (2000x1200) | 10.5" Super AMOLED (2560X1600) Exynos 9611 Octa Core | Qualcomm 855 Octa Core Standard S Pen | S Pen with advanced features 5MP Front Camera 8MP Rear Camera | 8MP Front Camera 13MP + 5MP (Dual) Rear Cameras 4GB RAM and 64/128GB Storage | 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB Storage MicroSD expandable to 1TB | MicroSD expandable to 512GB No Fingerprint Sensor | In-display Fingerprint Sensor AKG tuned 2 Speaker system | AKG tuned 4 Speaker system No DEX Support | Fully Supports DEX Desktop As you can see the S6 Lite is clearly a mid-range tablet vs the Tab S6's Premium\Pro specifications. You can read and watch my review of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RN05OV5L16OS1?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp Remember to watch my unboxing video of the Galaxy Tab S6 and witness the beautiful design. ... show more
