Firstly I was pretty skeptical of purchasing an unlocked phone never owning one before but so far this device has been nothing but first class performance. The only issue I have had so far is with getting this masterpiece to do wifi calling, but I have this same problem with my Galaxy S20 Plus and was able to figure out how to get it working and I have high hopes that the same will happen here. I have tried the moon zoom and it was spectacular. I love the size of this phone though I wish Samsung had at least made it the same size as the Galaxy S22 Ultra which is 6.9 inches, but however I can still work with 6.8 inches. I love the bigger screen phones because they are better for conducting business on the go and of course videos, movies and photography. Love the brightness of the screen and need I not mention the S Pen which I always wanted. Though it's true that this phone is pretty expensive, still, all in all it's worth every single penny for everything thing that has been put into it including hours of labor and time. I didn't want to upgrade my Galaxy S20 Plus this soon, but after seeing the moon zoom and the fact that this phone featured the popular S Pen, I have no other choice but to dive in, besides life is too short to not have the things we work hard for, so with that said I pampered myself to this device that I hope to have for many years to come. I seen in the reviews where someone stated that the phone will not charge past 85 percent. Go to settings, battery and device care followed by battery and then more battery setting and turn off the protect battery setting if you want your device to charge the entire 100 percent. However keep in mind that keeping this setting turned on increase the life of your battery when it only charges to 85 percent. Sound quality has also improved once again in this device and that is something that I love as well. I guess the even better part is the updates that is going to hopefully follow to put the icing on the cake because, as far as the hardware..... it's all there. Samsung has even stepped up their game and threw in McAfee on this one, so with that said, I stepped mine's up as well and bought the package deal from McAfee that will protect up to 10 devices. People, you ain't going to get better than this. This phone is super fast. I'm going to miss the memory card slot but just like the headphones port, I'll get over it quickly for all that this phone packs, I say so long memory card slot, welcome home Galaxy S23 Ultra. Update: 5/28/23. After having this phone longer, I've discovered more about it. The Bluetooth feature in this device is much faster than the one on my S20 Plus. My Galaxy Watch now connects instantly, where in my S20 Plus it took a few seconds to connect. I have been loving this phone so much that I have decided to replace the original plastic S Pen that came with it with the aluminum one to do my own part of keeping high-end products matched up with high-end products as I did with the case, going with the Otterbox Defender series pro case for this baby. I've heard people mention having dropped calls on Samsung phones, however I have not experienced that in this device this far into ownership. The photo of the Cellular Tower I took using the camera on this phone was taken from about a mile and some change away and I was zoomed to around 30mm out of 100, just to give you a better idea of what the camera on this device can do. I am very tickle with the benchmark results of this device, very, very beautiful results. Still waiting to see what it will do with a full moon not to mention the very popular "Super Moon". After using this phone for nearly two months now I still must say that it has been an amazing experience. I have also noticed where some are unfairly reviewing the phone, either you have a defective device or is not doing something right. The battery should be no less than 5 stars, and I personally would give it 10 stars if I could for being a perfect 10. I have gotten at least 4 days out of my phone off a single charge, I have also noticed where the fingerprint scanner got an unfair low rating, again if you use it right it will work right. Since setting this area of the phone up I have not once had any problems with the fingerprint scanner picking up my fingerprint, even when I have done it snappy it has never failed to work. So far on this device, I have not experienced any of the dropped calls that I hear about since the very moment I inserted my sim card into this phone. At last, I was able to take a few photos of the popular supermoon. Wasn't that clear of an evening here but I still must say that the camera on this phone did an awesome job capturing it at 230mm and around 7mp.

I am just now seeing my review two years later. My phone still works like brand new. Charges great and holds the charge. I bought the lavender color and it's super cute just like advertised. The camera is questionable. It has some weird settings. I had to fool around with it to make it feel like a normal camera. Other than that and the inevitable spyware that comes with every device after 2010, I would say this is the best phone I've ever had so far.

I am not really a fan of them removing the note for just the s ultra series but this phone was not half bad. This phone is relatively light and pretty good in handling (minus the case). The screen is not too bad but the annoying part is that the auto brightness is reliant on the position of your eyes so it can sometimes make it SUPER dark even though I have it at max brightness which is annoying when you are outside. I am sure you are able to turn this off but still annoying if you cannot really see what you are doing. For the most part, the phone itself is made of pretty sturdy material so you do not have to worry about the phone getting bent and the back is not temper glass so it is not have to worry about it easily breaking if dropped on the back. I use a case so that is not really any issue. I am not sure how sturdy the new material is r if it is scratch proof/resistant. The screen is not too bad although it is still a bit of a curve at the edges which makes it annoying to put a screen protector on that actually works. Regardless of that, the touchscreen is pretty nice and sensitive. Again with a screen protector, I found the screen is less responsive due to the curve edges. The front camera for selfies is not bad but it being integrated into the actual screen makes it so that it can be blurred easily with finger print and such and just makes it more annoying you have to clean it to get it to give you a really clear picture without a glare. The camera does come with facial recognition and finger print reader but it is severely hinder by the screen protector if you put it on. The itself screen feels nice and you do not get any finger print residue when using the screen. The back camera is pretty nice with 200 megapixels max. You do get a good picture and video quality but it can get dirty easily and you have to wipe it down. It does extend out from the phone which leaves those edges that can attract dirty and such which is annoying to clean. Even with a case, it get stuck in those hard to reach places which is annoying. Regardless, the camera stabilizes the pictures so if you are a bit shaky you do not have to worry about blurry pictures. The one thing I hate about samsung phone camera software is that it always takes a picture upside down or sideways and I always have to re-adjust the picture. I cannot turn this feature off and it is quite agitating. The best advice is to just make sure the words are facing the right direction before you take the picture. This phone was updated fairly. The one thing is that older samsung watches are NOT able to be used with this phone anymore. I am not sure why they would just remove the ability to connect to watches that are STILL very good. It is quite a ton of e-waste they are creating so note that if you are getting this phone. Samsung does have bloatware but you can easily remove it. It does organize their apps into a single folder which can make it confusing when you are looking for it. I does have bixby which I turn off because it is a bit annoying to use. They did remove the usual bixby button they use to have and integrated it with another. Samsung may offer with their 12 gb of ram phone. You are NOT able to put a micro SD card into the phone. It utilizes a type c port to charge and does support fast charging but only provides you a USB cable and not the actual wall plug which seems pretty standard nowadays. The battery life on this product is okay at first but degrades a bit too quickly within the first few months. Even when I turn the fast charging off to preserve the battery life, it sometimes die pretty quick even when I put applications to sleep. Other times, it can last pretty much a full day on minimal usage. I would say if you game on this phone you will be need to have an external battery ready. This device is able to play some games actually which is nice. I was able to play some emulated games on this as well which it was able to handle without much issue. The phone does heat up when you are pressing the processor so just note that. The sound quality on this phone is decent for what you are getting. There is only one speakers and the sound is clear and does not crackle or anything like that many other phones. This device does not come with headphone jack nor is there an adapter provided. I have tried type c plug headphones and they work pretty well with the phone and it still works well with older samsung bluetooth headphones unlike their watches. This does have the usual security feature with pin, password and finger print reader . I would say the finger printer scanner is not bad but if you are using a screen protector, you will not be able to get a a good reading. The finger print reader has a quick response time then many other phones. Overall I think this phone is heading in the right direction in terms of quality but I do think they should have kept the note series. This still falls short of the note performance in my opinion. The stylus is nice and integrated and I do use it from time to time but it easily pops out if you happen to bang your phone which is annoying because it can fall out and you lose it. I hate that they are essentially creating more ewaste by removing the ability to connect with samsung watches that are older but still functions well. The curve screen does still make it hard to put a working screen protector on this.. The sound quality is not bad. The phone is well built to remove certain aspects but I am not a fan of the camera being shrunk down as it makes it really had to clean between the crevice. The camera is nice as well but if you are trying to take 4k videos but the picture taking and the "auto" rotation is really annoying. I cannot turn it off and it just makes it an extra step where I have to update the photo. The battery that samsung uses as well is just very erratic. It degrades way too fast within the first year.

My main phone. I'm writing this review on it right now. I've had it for 2 years now, couldn't be happier with it. Maybe the S24 Ultra is "better" but I haven't found the need for an upgrade. Overall, great software system, great cameras, great battery, nice S-Pen (with Bluetooth: looking at you S25 Ultra). My only complaint really is the corner edges. Why are they so sharp? They dig into my hand. It's really all positive, with the exception of the corners.
