    • Bang for buck, you'd be hard pressed to find a better Samsung S-series phone
I was hesitant to upgrade my trusty S10 but it was my birthday and I was feeling saucy. For the price and the various reviews I read, this is THE bang for the buck. Compared to a S24, S25 or S26 there isn't much missing and some would argue it's one of the last of the breed especially with the BT S-Pen (the new ones don't have anymore or have lesser features). It STILL has "updates" life left and WILL get One UI 8.5 (any day now actually). This is noticeably faster and better in pretty much every way. I didn't know what real battery life was until now. I can go a full day without a charge; my other phone I was lucky to get 4 hours of my normal use and even then I was on high alert to where the nearest AC plug is. To go from 80% to 50% was scary but that 50% to 20% when the S10 would power down to safe mode was a constant source of anxiety. With this it's like time is on a different measure. I could watch the % tick down on the old one, on here it barely moves. A true game changer. The ONLY "gripe" I have is this beast is a big-boy. It's probably double the weight and dimensions in every way. I can absolutely feel it in my front pocket and if I wear my PJs it will pull the pocket down even. Due to that weight it will also pull the suction cup mount off the windshield of the car more often than not so I had to switch to a cup-holder style that's more secure. It is curious why Samsung didn't let it wireless charge their own Galaxy Watch Ultra (when I try the watch says it's "not compatible" when I thought it is just Qi charging?) That's a real shame; not huge as the watch lasts a couple days as it is, but would have been a nice-to-have given it's all their same flagship stuff from the same time-frame even... I thought I'd miss not having an SD slot (and kind of do in a way) but I went from 256GB to 512GB internal now. Similarly I used to have the ol' Bixby button on the S10 commandeered to launch Home Assistant. I thought I'd miss that, but literally last night I discovered that the "RegiStar" plugin to Samsung's "Good Lock" (yeah dumb name) has the ability to assign all kinds of things to all kinds of other things. So now my main power button long-press launches Home Assistant. BOOM! Overall "no ragrets" and almost wish I'd done it sooner. ... show more

    • Foreign phone--no wifi calling in America
Do NOT BUY from them if you live in America. Their phones are foreign and you will not get wifi calling unless you flash the phone -which is risky and you know what you're doing. I made the mistake of purchasing the phone and I don't work in the summer SO once I needed it for work as well, it was past the 30 days and they won't do ANYTHING to assist me. Just said, oops-sorry. I'm extremely disappointed because in today's world we need wifi calling for service in most places. Also, because it is a Canadian version- many updates arent available. I want to ADD that I purchased a SECOND phone from Amazon and it also was Canadian. I ASKED before I opened it and installed my Sim what the model number was. They said it ended in a Ui which is American. (I cannot see the model number until I install everything.) It ended up being a W which is Canadian. I was lied to. I then returned it right away- May 27th. It is now June 25th and they say it's delayed/lost in transit. They won't refund my until they can look it over. I'm without a phone because I'm not spending another dime until I know. It is $600 for my phone. I have tried many times to speak to the seller and they keep telling me it's up to Amazon. Every time I try to speak to Amazon they won't talk and tell me if I have nothing else to discuss besides the phone- they're done and they hang up on me. Yes, I'm angry but more so that they won't refund me for THEIR mistake. I didn't order or install a sim until I know it wasnt Canadian again and they lied. Lastly, I'm dealing with my bank suddenly saying someone is trying to do a SIM hijacking and I have fraud/I'd theft- Is it related to this?? Did my SIM get hijacked when I put it in the new phone? After completing setup, inspection, and initial daily use, I can confidently say this Galaxy S23 Ultra is a strong purchase overall. The device itself performs exactly as expected from a flagship Samsung phone — fast, responsive, and visually impressive. I’m satisfied with it, but there are a few details future buyers (and hopefully the seller) may appreciate knowing. Device Condition & Performance: The phone arrived securely packaged and powered on immediately. Activation on my network was seamless, storage was correctly listed at 512GB, and system performance has been excellent so far. Display quality is outstanding — bright, sharp, no visible defects. Wireless charging works properly, and overall responsiveness feels premium. Cosmetically, it’s very clean. The only visible wear is minor scuffing near the power/volume button area. Nothing major, but noticeable on close inspection. What Could Be Improved: Two small but important details kept this from being a full five-star experience: A USB charging cable was expected but not included. Thankfully I had extras, but not everyone will. The S Pen appears to be a replacement rather than an original Samsung stylus. It functions correctly, but clearer disclosure would build buyer confidence. Neither issue impacts functionality — the phone works great — but completeness matters when purchasing refurbished flagship devices. Overall Experience: Upgrading from an older Note series phone, the improvement in speed, screen quality, and general performance is immediately noticeable. Setup was quick, app migration went smoothly, and the device feels like a proper flagship again. If accessory completeness matched the quality of the phone itself, this would easily be a five-star review. Still, I’m pleased with the purchase and would consider buying from this seller again — especially if these small details are addressed going forward. I was a little hesitant about buying renewed, but this S23 Ultra looks and performs just like a brand-new phone. Not a single scratch, battery life is excellent, and everything works perfectly right out of the box. The screen is stunning—bright, sharp, and smooth. The 512GB storage is more than enough for apps, photos, and videos. Performance is lightning fast, and multitasking feels effortless. The cameras are absolutely top tier, with incredible detail and clarity, especially in low light. It even came well-packaged with a charging cable, and setup was quick and easy. This is not my idea of excellent condition. At best, it is good. (1) The screen has some kind of a mark on the left upper side. Not exactly a scratch, but like a chemical burn. I am happy that putting on a screen protector now makes it indistinguishable. (2) there are visible signs of glue at the back of the phone around the camera lenses. (3) Bottom left edge of the phone shows signs that it was impacted (most likely it fell). (4) Left side bezel, not well fitted, a ridge can be detected when you run your hands over it. The phone I received was in flawless condition and everything worked as expected. The only minor niggle is 'Factory unlocked' to me means Samsung firmware (no carrier bloatware). Mine came as Verizon but was easily flashed back to Samsung native firmware (XAA) with a modified Odin flash tool. Overall, very happy with the purchase ... show more
