I've used Samsung S-View functionality on my previous phones and love it, so continue to use the Samsung phone case for my S22 Ultra. My first case started to look worn, so I bought this replacement. High quality that protects the phone body extremely well, as I've dropped the phone more times than I can count on 2 hands. Protects the phone screen as well as long as the cover doesn't open when it falls. Mine opens 50% of the time when it falls, but I have protective glass installed, so that takes care of the screen. Case is extremely thin and adds minimal girth to the phone and looks great. Only problem is its hard to get these cases for S22 model phones as they are 3 generations old now. Had to settle with this funky purple-ish color as that was all that was available on Amazon. Best-buy had black at twice the price, so I will stick with this until I replace my S22 with either an S24 or next model after that. ... show more

I bought this to replace my last Samsung cover which had a screen cut out in the upper right corner. This one is solid, but has a very cool led light system that magically appears with the time and basic information when the cover is closed. I prefer this cover by far. Worth the price. This case protects the S22U in a minimalistic form. The only exposed part of the phone is the cutout on the front and the camera openings on the rear. I don't worry about those exposed areas because i use tempered glass to protect my expensive phone. I like that the case doesn't add bulk to an already large phone but it still protects it very well. I've dropped it several times and the phone survived unmolested by the abrupt stop at the end of the drop. With "always on display", the opening shows me all my pertinent information without opening the cover and that information can be customized as to how it's displayed. You can add you're own images as the background of the display. I took a moon close-up and use it for the wallpaper atm. During the holidays, I used a pic of a closeup of an ornament on our tree as the wallpaper. It's nice to change the background and style so I don't go crazy with boredom. One reason I opted for the S22U was that it was so customizable and this case just extends that ability. I work construction and wear carpenter jeans( ya know, with the side pocket on the leg) and unfortunately, the phone won't fit in 90% of my side pockets. I refuse to put the phone in my back pocket because I have a nicely shaped muscular butt that would snap the phone in half when I bend over. Front pocket placement would prohibit bending over... and the boss says I gotta bend over so I keep the phone in my breast pocket of my long sleeve button up shirt. This explains one of the drops. As I was bending over to pick up unusually heavy stuff, the phone slipped out but no damage was incurred. The case looks reasonable for the amount of time I've been using it and the protection it's given. I decided to clean it for this review to get a better sense of the condition, and during the cleaning process I dropped the phone as it slipped from my slick, Endust covered fingers. Overall I'm very satisfied with the case and will be in the market for another as this one degrades in appearance (I like nice looking things). The deal I got was paying $25 for this $50 case so if I can get that again, it's a no brainer for me but I don't see it being worth the hefty $50 price tag. I got the burgandy color this time. Maybe I'll try a different color with my white phone next time. Worth the $25 for sure. ... show more

PROS: Inexpensive, not bulky at all, slides in and out of pocket with ease. The sides of the case have ribs making it easy to hold The case was very easy to attach to the phone. I've had other cases (Otter in particular) that were difficult to attach and even more diffult to take off. The Otter case was also extremely bulky. I don't need that level of protection and I prefer something to offer basic protection. I think this will be adequate. Another plus is all the buttons and holes for inputs such as USB and outputs (speakers, mic) line up nicely. CONS: The kickstand is flimsy. The ad listing inidcates it can be used in 2 positions (horizontal and vertical). I found that in the horizontal position, it worked fine (see pic). In my opinion, the vertical position is useless. The angle is too low and the kickstand feels unstable. Since my needs are to use it only in the horizontal position, I'm OK with that. Also note that I thought it was odd that the directions show you how to reattach the kickstand(s) if they fall off. I thought that was rather odd but as I was taking the pics for this review, I clumsily went to pick up the phone and the tall kickstand, along with a tab that goes between the kickstands, fell off. It was no big deal to reattach them but it just reinforces my statement that it is flimsy. IT'S WHITE! - so this may seem silly to some users but I fequently take the phone out of my pocket and put it on the table, desk, chair.....whatever is convenient....and then I frequently forget where I left it. So, a good part of my day is finding my phone. Most of my furnishings are black and finding a phone that is black is difficult. And at night, forget it. I can't even see it when it's right in front of me. So the white frame on this case makes it stand out enough to be found. UPDATE (4/12/2023): I've now had this protector for a year now. I'm very happy with the level of protection it provides and the fact that it is not bulky. The biggest complaint I have is the kickstand is flimsy and every once in a while it will come off. No big deal though because it snaps back into place easily. I will say that because of frequent use and abuse, it has become a little loose at the corners. But for $17, I can just get a new one. Doesn't drain too much battery if you have little to no notifications set up. Purchased a used one for $30 looks brand new for a $70 product I'm amazed how well this technology works just sad that I can't set up custom animated notifications like the ones that come preloaded onto the app
