I recently bought a galaxy watch and I adore it. So I decided to buy galaxy pro buds to have the extra sound control and make things more seamless. I don't usually buy name brand products... But with how impressive the watch is, I assumed the buds sound quality would impress me too... I was using TOZO buds before these, an off-brand set of headphones that are similar. They were 40$, so I was expecting the quality of the galaxy buds to be much better. I am glad I ordered these renewed. I would be pissed if I paid more for these! The sound quality is a hair better than TOZO, just a smidge... Let me say that I was impressed with the TOZO sound quality, they are so crisp for the price. Knowing this I wouldn't have bought these galaxy buds at all because the quality really isn't noticably better. On top of that, the volume doesn't get as high as I like it. The max volume is pretty low in my opinion. All the sound settings you can change make such a small difference that it's not worth opening the app to change it. Even when I choose "bass boost" I can't hear the difference! One strong point of these buds is the voice detection and ambient sound settings. Not having to take the buds out to talk to someone is nice for most people, but not really useful to me since I only listen to music in the middle of the night. It's also nice that I can turn off the touch sensor! I think the biggest issue I have with these is the connection problems. I can't tell you whether it's an issue with the actual buds or if it's not compatible with my phone. I have the Motorola Edge. These connectivity problems didn't exist with my TOZO buds. There is a noticeable lag with changing music tracks. It takes over a second to change the song after I press the button. I know that doesn't sound long but it is, especially when you need to skip multiple songs. I think the lag has to do with the fact that you need an app to connect this to your phone, rather than directly connecting it to Bluetooth. If the app stops working, your buds stop working. A weird problem I've been having is that if I go directly to Amazon music after connecting, the buds disconnect. They will NOT reconnect no matter how long you wait. You have to reset them by putting them in the case and taking them out again. This has only happened with Amazon music and it happens every single time. It took me hours to figure out that I needed to open something else (like YouTube) and play something. Then I can go to Amazon music and the buds will finally stay connected. So I can't go straight to my music for some reason. I don't know if it's a problem with the galaxy wearables app, or if it's just my phone. But another annoying hoop to jump through just to use these buds! Side note: there is a control panel for buds on the galaxy watch. You can turn on\off ambient sound, and turn on\off touch sensor. This doesn't work!!! Your app overrides your watch control. Meaning if I have ambient sound turned on in the APP, when I try to turn it off on the watch, it works for a few seconds and then comes back on... It defaults back to the app. What is the point lol? I tell you what, my TOZO buds connect in literally one second after taking them out of the case. TOZO buds have NEVER disconnected unexpectedly! Why on earth would I choose the galaxy buds over my old ones when I know I have to fiddle with it to work? Also please don't assume I am not using them correctly or there's a fix to these problems. I spent hours trying to fix these problems. I factory reset the pro buds several times. Cleared cache. I even reset my galaxy watch thinking it was something to do with the Wearable app. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. I tried different settings. I did everything to make these work!! They wouldn't. I really wanted to love these... But there is just too much negative to appreciate the extra settings that these have... It's not worth all the trouble. I feel ripped off after paying 60$ ... I can't even imagine how I would feel if I had paid full price!! Definitely would've returned them. I'm keeping these because I hope someday they will work out the connectivity issues in the app. Not worth the trouble of sending them back especially when I got them for such a good price. I know my review sounds so negative, but I will give these 3 stars as I suspect that a lot of the problems I am having are likely unique to me. Meaning the average person will not have these issues maybe? But based on sound quality alone, I would look elsewhere. You can find the same sound quality for much cheaper. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These are my first ear buds I've owned, so I don't have a lot to compare but I really like these. I have a Samsung phone, tablet and watch so I thought getting these would make using them with my devices seamless and I wasn't disappointed. I received these and they came in the original box with original instructions which was nice and unexpected for being "renewed". And unlike some of the horror stories I've read in this review section before purchasing, mine came clean and free from any earwax which was a relief, though I disinfected them for good measure. The charging case had some very slight scratches and minimal signs of wear, but the earbuds themselves seemed as brand new. It came with a charging cable without a charging block which I like because I have oodles of left over charging blocks and that's less e-waste to worry about. Unfortunately though, they only came with one set of earbud tips and not the three sizes a brand new one would come with. The size I got wasn't a great fit for my ears, they worked sort of if I jammed and twisted it into my ears with some force and sometimes fell out. I don't have a clue to which size I received, but after a few weeks of disappointing results and a low opinion of these buds, I ordered some memory foam tips that came with three different sizes and I'm glad I did. They changed everything for these ear buds in my experience, the fit, the feel, how much better the noise cancelling worked, how much better the sound quality was, and so on. This is my first noise cancelling personal audio device I have owned and with the memory foam tips it works quite well. I always imagined it would better than what experienced, but understand that you can't block out all background noise, but it's a notable feature. The Samsung Wear app has some nice settings you can easily change on them along with a quick slide bar to turn on noise cancelling or ambient noise. There's a few preset equalizer settings you can change, I didn't notice a whole lot of difference between them, but I listen to more podcasts than music. The sound quality is nice, clear, clean, and quality. The 360 audio does seem to add a depth to music I especially appreciate. They don't get too loud at the maximum volume setting which might be a turn off for some, but plenty loud enough for me and my ears sensitivity. A single charge tends to last between five to five and a half hours for me, which is a decent chunk of time and I'm up and running again after placing them in the charging case for 15 minutes for the rest of my work shift. Overall I'm happy I purchased these after I got the memory foam tips, before that I was a bit on the fence. ... show more

First item I had received was defective, left ear piece would not stay connected. If a replacement request though Amazon. Got them today and they work fine. If they don't work so a replacement return. Don't think u are stuck with them.

This was described as refurbished, so I expected the charging case and buds to have some wear and tear.....and I think "wear and tear" constitutes things like : -surface scratches -smudges -faded paint and lettering NOT BEING CAKED IN F%&$ING EARWAX!!!!!!! These things were delivered with everything promised and very well packaged, but one would think that if you're buying something used from Amazon, someone would have at least noticed it being completely covered in the previous owners ear filth....I am not exaggerating when I say there was an absurd amount of earwax in the buds and case. Luckily I have a strong stomach and proceeded to immediately disinfect the buds and case thoroughly multiple times with alcohol and cleaning wipes. I tested them out after about 3 cleanings and they worked just as well as my old pair. P.S.- clean your ears, people ... show more
