Situation: I couldn't imagine paying this much was that much better than ones for 1/10th the price. This begs the question, Then why did I try them? - I am learning Spanish to be with orphan kids in Colombia. I go to a church to be around them. I have an S24 Ultra that can translate to text or voice. I was wondering if it would be worth getting the S26 Ultra before going to Colombia again. Battery life was the same and the processor was a lot faster. - I expected go for it, but that's not the advice I received. Instead I received your S24 Ultra already has the Galaxy AI Interpreter for face-to-face conversations, Live Translate for phone calls, excellent microphones, and plenty of AI processing power. Samsung's newer hardware improves AI performance, but translation quality is mostly limited by speech recognition (understanding the speaker), translation model quality, context understanding, accents, slang, and background noise, not raw phone speed. Going S24 Ultra to the S26 Ultra might get slightly faster response, smoother offline AI, maybe less delay, but it will not suddenly make Spanish conversation feel like a Star Trek universal translator. Your S24 Ultra is already a monster. For translation, the bottleneck is not your Snapdragon processor, it is capturing clean speech and the AI model doing the interpretation. A better microphone path can help more than a faster phone. The Samsung earbuds Buds4 Pro is what I would recommend. The reason they matter is not that they magically translate by themselves, they improve the whole workflow. The microphones are closer to your mouth, they reduce background noise, you can hear translations privately, and you are not always holding a phone between two people. For example, with Galaxy AI Interpreter, you wear earbuds, the other person talks toward the phone, you hear English translation in your ear, your phone can output your voice translated Spanish. Moreover, if you have a Samsung phone, Galaxy Buds can do some translation tricks too. - It took me some time to overcome feeling stupid for spending 10x as much for something I had that works well, it was unimaginable that they could be that much better, and something I had to guard with my life now. I ordered, then struggled with cancelling, and then let it go on the basis that I also wouldn't know unless I "rolled the dice" to know, and the importance of the mission. The struggle was not the money. It was feeling stupid after I already had some that worked fine. Experience: - Setup surprise: Like all earbuds, they come with various sizes to fit your ears. Unlike the others I have, it has a setup that tests and determines the size that fits your ear. You do not do the determine which size, it does. You get a green check when you get a size that passes. There was only one of the sizes that passed, and they were not the same size for each ear. When I had someone look at my ears and size of the opening, they said they are exactly the same. I tried to trick it by changing its position to have it use the same size for each ear, but it wasn't buying it. I'm guessing it detects how much escapes from the ear to the microphone. Next it wants to do a hearing test like the flight surgeons used to do. This takes a while. Flight surgeons check to see if your hearing is still good. This uses the results of the tests to profile your hearing sensitivity across frequencies to adjust the volumes to make it perfect for each ear. That's more than my ~$1600 flight helmet does. - Comparison: My cheap ones worked just fine, I don't listen to music, and adjusting a mixer to the way I want to hear music just isn't a "duck in my pond". I just want to hear the unaltered sound, clearly, and be understood clearly, that's all I care about. You will not be able to imagine there could be a difference beyond that UNTIL you experience them side-by-side. Then they are very different. According to the scientific tests, the battle is between these and the ones from Apple, which are about the same price. However, if you have a Samsung Phone, it's no contest, which I do, because the iPhone doesn't have the smarts , flexibility, ability to document and record my phone calls automatically, enable you to write scripts to automate things without external approval, or have both eSIM and nanoSIM, as often nanoSIM plans are much cheaper abroad for some reason unknown to me. E.G. The iPhone is a great phone too, but it simply "cannot get there from here". - Features: It has different modes available to control the cancelling of background noise, one of which is to turn off the cancelling when you start talking so you can hear the response of the person next to you without removing the ear buds. There is a mode for driving to hear alert noises. It is much nicer for translation as mentioned in the advice I was given. Like the AirPods, these are also water resistant. You can also track and find them over the Internet from last place used, in Bluetooth range, and you can also find them in the case and turned off locally. There is no tendency for them to fall out of my ears while running. Summary: These are a different ball game than the inexpensive ones. If you have a use case like mine it is, and might also be worthwhile for someone whose hearing isn't the best. What I've written should help you determine if the extra initial cost and cost if you lose them, is worth the advantages they bring for your use case. ... show more

Ok so i have to start by saying i think it's almost impossible to judge a product like this within the first week or more of owning them. That being said, I'll try my best to explain why i spent almost $300 on ear buds. Lol So I've been a beats (studio 3) over ear headphone user for over a year and i really liked those especially considering they were a gift. But i blew a speaker in them finally so i was left with no choice but to buy a replacement. I have owned a galaxy s24 since the end of 2024 and it is hands down the best phone I've ever owned, and because these are Samsung galaxy ear buds obviously they paired right up to them like they came with them. It even added a settings tab at the very top of my settings bar for quick access to all the ear bud settings which is awesome! I do like the pinch button as opposed to only having a touch button. It's easy to click and has a satisfying sound when you click it. They come with 3 size of rubber fittings for your ears and also have a "test fit" feature where they sense how well your ear bud fit. I use the ones that came on them because the were the best fit for my ears. I have to say that these are the most comfortable and lightest ear buds I've ever owned. This morning and i swear I'm not exaggerating, i almost panicked because i didn't feel the right one in my ear and thought i set it down so i started looking before i felt me ear with my hand and it was in my ear. I didn't feel it at all! And i use the ambient sound mode so i can hear everything with them in just as well as without them. When you first put them in and turn on ambient sound, you notice the sound as coming thru a speaker, but within 10 minutes of wearing them you get used to it or something because the sound becomes seamless and natural. When listening to music the sound is next level clear and crisp. With the noise cancelation on I'm able to wear them at work where im rebuilding swimming pool motors, so we use grinders and loud power tools daily and the general noise of working in a shop, and can still hear every word to the music and every note. They can't drown out that much background noise to where i don't hear the tools and i don't think any headphones out there would be able to pull that off, but for being little light earbuds they definitely cancel out most of the noise and enough to stop hear my music and notifications. I have not "exercised" with them in so i can't tell you about that, but i can't imagine they would be anything but awesome for working out considering how light weight they are and how secure they fit into the ear canal. I did read a few comments complaining about the battery life, but i have to say i think they hold a change for a decently long time. I wear them for my entire 10 hour shift at work, listening to music for about 3 or 4 hours of that if not more, and i haven't even seen a battery low warning yet. And the case i just plug in every night like i do my phone and i never have a battery life issue, not yet at least. The 360 sound mode is really neat as well and i did try the directional sensor thing where it makes the sound seem like it is coming from the direction the video is, so as you turn your head the sound seems to be coming from the same direction as the screen and it's really neat but i don't keep it on because it's just... different. The only thing i have not tried is the live a.i. translation, but i will try that out next time i work my other job because we have plenty of Spanish speaking employees i can test it out with. So in conclusion, do i feel like these were a "well spent $280"? Only time will tell... I'll update after six months if i haven't lost one by then. ... show more

The Sound Quality and smart features are a WIN

I go nowhere without these earbuds. I grab them when I’m heading out right along with my wallet. The active noise cancellation works really well. I’ve been on a few noisy flights with barking dogs and crying kids, and these held up nicely. I’m highly satisfied with the sound quality, bass, and easy adjustable features. Considering how much I use them, I only have to charge them about once a week or every other week. The battery life is also better than my previous JBL and JLab headphones, even though those had fewer features. I really enjoy the smart ambient features, especially voice detection, but the 360 Audio is probably my favorite feature. The smart features let me stay aware and present in public without having to take my headphones out whenever someone is speaking to me. I’ve also had fewer issues with them falling out of my ears while exercising. Overall, these have been a great pair of earbuds, and I’m really happy with them. ... show more

FYI the Buds 4 pro case does not come with the buds itself just the case and the buds. THESE EARBUDS ARE SO DAMN GOOD LOL. I upgraded from the buds 3 pros to the 4 pro and holy the sound is so much better, you can clearly hear things better and the bass is also heavy too if you like bass, if you're a tech nerd I suggest using dynamic on the equalizer options they never pop out of my ears while im outside doing exercises such as running, jogging and stuff that would normally bump it out of your ear. They are also comfortable too, the gummy tips dont bother like the 3 pros did. One last thing the ANC is so gosh darn good, a few days ago I was in my school gym and had ANC turned on during a pep rally and my gosh it really is noticeable compared to the 3 pros. I bought mine Freshly new not refurbished so it might come down to where you bought it, if it doesn't not sound to your liking or maybe your ears might not be as good. The Other Modes such as ambient and adaptive they are good but if your deaf use ambient and turn on a certain setting called adapt sound then 60+ you can hear like you've never heard before and adaptive mode is just dumb. Has some minor problems

I still give it a 4/5. If I didn't have any issues I'm about to explain below it would be 5 star. The issues are minor but many. A little info before we start. My last pair of buds were the Samsung Buds+. I have Sennheiser HD600 at my computer. I don't like heavy bass sounding audio. When I put the earbud in my ear the silicone ear tip will 'pop' after the earbud shifts and settles a few minutes later. not a painful pop but a little alarming when I'm not expecting it. It's only my right ear that does this so changing tips might resolve that issue. The pinch and swipe controls are not sensitive enough. I thought I had a defective pair but no. You have to firmly pinch the stem to pause/play/etc. Same with the swipe for volume. You can't just lightly swipe with your finger. The force needed would knock the earbud loose so support with your other finger from the back is necessary. It's taken me a couple of weeks to get the muscle memory to find the stem for controls. The square design of the case is dumb. Utterly stupid. Nearly impossible to open with 1 hand. a 25% change to open the case the correct way as the thing is symmetrical on all sides. It's a miracle I haven't dropped it yet while fumbling it in my hands to find the hinge and open it the correct way. Many times I go to open it and it's sideways or backwards. I have thought or resorting to some kind of textured tape on the front so I know where to open from. Even with the tape the shape and size of the case still makes it extremely difficult to open with one hands. Especially if they are sweaty or oily. I have been listening to music at work as the ambient audio pass through is much better than my Buds+. However at random times the ambient pass through will just cut out. It doesn't seem to happen when I'm sitting still but when I'm outside completing tasks and moving around it will just stop. It'll come back maybe 5 seconds later but it's extremely annoying. I don't normally use ANC so I haven't been able to test that problem in this mode. When pairing to a computer the ear buds pair left and right individually it seems. I get these weird situations when I skip back or forward on a youtube video and the audio is no longer synced. As in left ear bud receives audio a fraction of a second sooner than the right. To fix it I would have to skip forward or backward on the video again. Play/pause does not fix it. Never had this problem with my Buds+. Another thing the ear buds do on the computer is drop out an earbud entirely. Sometimes I'll be sitting and bam, left audio gone. Does not return until I disconnect the buds and reconnect them. This only happens on my laptop and it's a sample size of one. Could be the laptop, could be Windows, could be the ear buds. I never had this problem with my Buds+. Lastly the bass is way too strong. For some music is probably fine. But I the genre I've disliked the most with the default profile is synthwave. What I've done is pretty much put the bass extremely low on the EQ. I've tried to match the audio profile of my Buds+ and HD600 while still keeping some of the bass the earbuds are good at replicating. The EQ I've landed on is: -5 -4 -2 -1 0 0 0 -1 -1 Thing of note the highs seemed a bit to discomforting for me so I've given them a -1. If the highs of the default profile don't bother you, leave them at 0. ... show more

Stellar product excellent galaxy ecosystem tool.

Quick charge, long battery life, powerful active noise cancelling, crystalline call quality and mic sensitivity. Call parties never hear road noise or ambient sounds on my calls, even in loud restaurants and urban areas. This is what I've been seeking for years, the ANC tech is surprising for such small buds, gesture answer and call end is fun but the touch controls are so much more technical than simple finger pad controls. The pinch gives just enough extra tactile feedback to avoid inadvertent volume and call input taps like so many other earbud brands where just brushing the bud ends a call or boosts volume. For galaxy phones the connection is instant. You also have some limited control over the function of each piece and their pinch or hold features. I have Google assist on right pinch and ANC manual off on left pinch. I prefer the automatic ANC reduction when calls start to avoid shouting in public. The ANC drop gives you enough ambient noise input to hear yourself and regulate your voice volume with class. Did I mention there's 5 ANC settings? You can go from deep space cryogenic chamber quiet to a light muffling which let's you hear the call and footsteps behind you. Impeccable quality! Nice bass, clear sound, amazing noise canceling! Well worth the money. My samsung phone connected to them like they have known each other forever. Did everything on their own. I just had to accept the connection. Mine didnt come with a charging cable but I just use the one for my phone and that works just fine. I use them for doing chores around my farm and never have an issue with them falling out. They also have a button on the ear piece rather than a touch sensor that changes song or volume when you are simply adjusting them in your ears. Finally someone knows how to design an earbud! Only thing that sucks is they went on sale a couple days after I got them but that's not the product's fault. Just sucks to loose $50. Lol Update: The battery doesnt last long on the case so just sitting without using the buds, the battery drains so you go to use them and they are dead. Kinda annoying considering the cost. My cheap skull candy buds case lasts for months just sitting. Still enjoying the buds themselves. ... show more

I wanted to upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Overall the sound is good. Noise cancelling, ambient sound, hi res audio. I like the fit. Very comfortable in your ear. I still think I loved my buds 2 Pro more. But these are very good. Price is high. So even though I think they are great and have no complaints. My husband has a $50 pair of Sony ear buds that have a pretty similar sound quality. ... show more
