    • This is NOT a new, "unlocked" phone!
This product is listed and advertised as NEW and unlocked to the T-Mobile network and its MVNOs (Mint, Metro, etc). It's neither. After wasting 3 hours of precious time, T-Mobile confirmed the phone was locked to only Metro. And, then, Metro confirmed that the phone had been in service since July 2025 (meaning it's a used phone). If Metro isn't my carrier, I can't use the phone until it unlocks in July 2026 (Metro has a 365-day unlock policy). So, it's NOT useable on T-Mobile or other MVNOs, and it's NOT a new phone. For the price it's a good phone. But the A17 is better for a few more dollars. I love the phone and the 8 rams are very sufficient and smoother then A16 .But if money is tight the a 16 is a good phone 👍

So far its doing well. I wanted more than 4gb RAM but it does have RAM Plus which allows you to allocate storage memory for RAM. Be prepared to do a lot of updates when you get the phone. I had to download 5 or 6 updates to the operating system. Its now running Android 16. If you have fast wifi this wont take too long. Some bloat ware that I didnt need so I uninstalled it. I dont play games on the phone so no idea how well it does that. If you just need a device for calls, texts, photos/video and watching YouTube this is a good choice. Says the phone is new and it looked new but it had an eSIM installed with a phone number. This is important because you will need to delete this for your SIM card or eSIM to work. I use Mint Mobile and had zero issues after deleting the eSIM. To do this go to Connections and then SIM manager. ... show more
