For the price, you won’t find a better smartphone. The display is very good for the price (and large, this is roughly the same size as an iPhone 16 pro max). The battery life is excellent, and it’s fast enough to use for regular every day things without being frustrating for someone who regularly uses an iPhone 16 pro. However, the camera and speaker are not that great, but they are fine for the price. The real reason to get this smartphone over others at this price range is software support. Samsung provides security updates for a good number of years compared to other manufacturers. For someone like me using it as a secondary smart device, that’s perfect since I know my apps will continue working for a while without complaining about the lack of updates ... show more

Maybe the worst cell phone I've ever had. Current problem: widget magically turned from Fahrenheit to Celsius. I want it to go back. Followed instructions per Google search. Among suggestions, uninstalled and reinstalled widget, opened weather app, changed settings, etc. I've wasted half an hour on this stupid thing, only now to find one of the problems is that the widget can get stuck on Celsius, this followed by more instructions on how to get it unstuck, one of which is to restart the stupid phone. I have had this phone for about a month and I've already restarted it at least 4 or 5 times for various problems like pages freezing, getting black screens upon signing in, sometimes signing in with password 5 times before getting to my apps because it keeps going back to opening screen, and numerous other problems. It claims to be fast charging but you must use their charger which they don't provide, and I haven't particularly noticed a long battery life. And if you want to see how much battery you have left, good luck. The battery icon is a teeny bicolored pill with light writing so it is impossible to read, particularly if you're over 40. This brilliant feature was apparently the idea of some clever person who felt it provided a sleek, minimalist look to the home screen. Who cares about functionality. And since there is no warning beforehand, you may suddenly find that you ran out of battery. And if anyone thinks that Samsung may not be so Google dominated, disabuse yourself of that idea. I would have returned, but by then I had moved my apps from old phone to new (had to do it twice, by the way, cuz Smart Switch didn't complete the job the first time), put on protector, etc. Sorely regret this purchase. Yes, it is a budget phone but I didn't expect a fancy camera, etc. I just want a phone that works without my having to deal with all screens freezing, settings changing on their own, etc. Also, if you are using your phone when a text comes in, it may be a while before you see the text. ... show more

This was a step up from my Samsung A12. I needed the storage since my phone is my computer. It's so fast and picture quality is great. It was definitely a good value. It will serve me well especially the simplicity of the phone. As a senior I am tech challenged.
