This dryer makes incessant noise, so I'm too annoyed to decide whether it works well or not. The drum is deeper than 3 other large capacity dryers I've owned; this is very useful feature if you're trying to put it in a narrow space. If you're under 5'7", have short arms, or a bad back, the longer reach may take getting used to. I don't know if this dryer can be stacked, but that would help the reach. My manual, for dve(g)45r6300/dve(g)45r6100, shows how to turn off the end-of-cycle musical tune, but says this: "However, the other sounds stay active." It doesn't divulge how active those other sounds are! If you have sensitive ears, you need to be prepared. This dryer causes me ear pain with its incessant ding, ding, dinging, to set it, open the door, turn on, turn it off... I'll try to describe it; I've already turned off the end-of-cycle musical alarm, and the following is what remains! I may be off a ding here or there, but I'm pretty close: Turn it on: 6 dings Turn dial from Normal to Time dry: 5 dings (and it always resets to normal after each load). Press the buttons from high heat to medium heat: 3 dings Press start: 3-4 dings rolled together I'm at over 15 musical notes just to dry a few t-shirts. But wait, there's more! Leave the door open while getting items out: two dings, repeating. They sort of reminded me of European police sirens. I suspect they'll continue dinging for as long as the door remains open, so I slam it shut as fast as I can! Close the door but fail to press start! Oh, yeah, I'm just asking for punishment! 8 dings in sets of 2 quick EU police sirens. These dings may also repeat, but, again, I press start as quickly as humanly possible to avoid additional high-pitched ear-pain! I'm thinking Havana Syndrome! I've now jammed my fingers several times rushing to stop the dinging! My poor button pushing knuckles may eventually develop arthritis if I can't disconnect the dinging. I will say that it's a very attractive dryer; if you wear headphones, it might be perfect. Update: I contacted Samsung customer service via online chat for help with my now loathed new dryer. I thought Samsung might sell a silent mechanism replacement for their obnoxious buttons/dials, or full silencing instructions; I even asked if there were actually speakers to cover with duct tape, or wires I could cut! Nobody could tell me anything! I was transferred through two polite Samsung representatives (who only knew how to turn off the end-of-cycle jingle which I'd already done). A third representative promised to escalate my grievance and arrange for a technician to visit my home. That was a week ago; I'm not aware of missing any calls, but I don't really expect one. So, I will try to return it, but it's been over 30 days and I'll be losing hundreds of dollars. I think Samsung is rude to force people to hear unnecessary sounds, whether they're annoying or not. This model number should include a prominent warning label about unnecessary sound-effects; Samsung needs to alert families with babies, light sleepers, students studying & trying to concentrate, musicians, writers, thinkers... "Warning: This Device Dings/Pings Repeatedly & Can NEVER Be Turned Off!" However, for people who enjoy the machine noise in casino lobbies played at a much higher pitch, or listening to cheap video games on a transistor radio, they should be fine drying laundry with this model. Wow! I genuinely hate this product. Where's my hammer? !!!!! UPDATE!!!!! The deep narrow drum rolls my blankets & sheets into tight burritos that remain wet in the center; we must repeatedly pull them out to unroll them & then stuff them back in to continue to dry. It's an exceptional amount of work. Considering the expertise & experience of Samsung's amazing engineers & designers, it's almost like this dryer is some kind of bad practical joke! I genuinely loathe it with the intensity of a red dragon. I've never had an inanimate object cause me angst, so this is indeed an unusual experience; however, I wish this dryer would just go wherever missing socks go, never to be seen again. Maybe I'll just take an ax to it and carve up all that wasted money spent. Grrrrrr.

These are actual terrible washer and dryers. The second you start the load, you can’t add anything to it, so if you forget something it won’t unlock the door until the load has fully ran through, and then it had takes a minute or two for the water to completely drain, extremely frustrating. I had started a load and tried to add something to it not even 10 seconds later and the door was locked and it made me wait the entire cycle, I had to add it to the next load. If you open the door while it’s drying , to take stuff out or whatever it continuously beeps for you to close the door, so you don’t get to remove delicate items without listening to continuous beeping. Like I know the door is open, I obviously opened it, why would it constantly beep for me to close it, I’m doing something and I don’t want to cancel the current cycle, super annoying. The washer leaks from the front. They’re quite at first but extremely loud and squeaky at this point, haven’t even had them for two years.
