I bought this chromebook for my mom who is a senior and the chromebooks have been very friendly and easy for her to use in the past. The laptop is a strong upgrade from her last one that lasted over 5 years. However, the internet wifi drops out every 10 minutes or so and reconnects. I've tested it on different WiFI locations, her home, my home, and a previous address and the problem persisists. The laptop software is up to date but the wifi dropping on a chromebook makes for an extremely poor experience as these laptops are designed to primarily function off of the internet connectivity. I received this laptop around the 20th of May. By July, it couldn't even be turned on. My granddaughter is a very responsible 12 year old who is computer savvy. I knew it was a refurbished computer but I still expected more than a month and a half use from it. I contacted the seller and they directed me to the manufacturers website for troubleshooting. How exactly does one troubleshoot a laptop that cannot turn on? With this covid 19 pandemic, my granddaughter will be doing most if her school work from home. This is just not acceptable.
