Display arrived in pretty poor physical condition with the rubber feet half fallen off. The screen as you can see is unusable with dead pixels and a fragmented display. What a scam.

    • Just not bright enough to pair with a MacBook Pro in an office environment.
Overall I think this monitor is probably a good value. It's just not bright enough to pair with my 16" MacBook Pro. While I don't expect a $500 monitor to replicate a Retina display, I must say I was expecting a little bit more than what this guy delivered. Colors are okay for business, as is contrast (though, barely IMO), and the size and resolution are fine for placement across a desktop. (I would not suggest it for a small desk however, but that's personal preference for some, and my vision isn't what it used to be when it comes to things closer than arm's length.) Again, if you just need a solid monitor with lots of real estate for business apps on your desktop or non-Retina laptop, this monitor is a fair value. But if you find yourself needing to do a bit more graphics and/or video work, save-up a few more shekels and level-up to something brighter. Oh, the 92W Thunderbolt-3 connection is very convenient, and yes, it will keep a 16" MacBook Pro happily charged while connected. ... show more

It has several mutually exclusive options because whoever wrote the firmware was either lazy or stupid. If Eco mode is on, eye saver mode can't be on. If either of those is on, you can't choose which brightness settings you want. Your MacBookPro would like to adjust the brightness settings but the control is disabled because of all the BS inside the monitor settings. It keeps confusing my Mac Book Pro with the idea that it has speakers (I don't know if it has working speakers or not, but I don't see any holes for sound on the unit, so why does it seem to have speakers and my other HDMI monitor does not do this? You can't download a manual for this monitor because Samsung requires you to be an approved reseller before they will let you have the PDF. Tech support isn't open 24 days. It also has trouble waking up in the morning. Normally have to power it off and back on to get it to resume showing video. It can do really bright and pretty dim, but adjusting it is awkward. Luckily I got it for about 1/2 of list price because that's really about all it is worth. Spent more than an hour on with their techsupport who had a hard time knowing what to do as well. I did finally manage to download the manual and it outlines all of these limitations. Would be nice if the person(s) that wrote the code for this thing had to actually use it.     • Day 2. Love it so far.
Pros: Comes with usb-c input so I don’t need to use ugly adapters for my Mac. I love the picture quality and the ability to do picture in picture so I can split my monitor in 2 in the space for just 1. Also good text rendering on kindle reader which is my pet peeve. I bought it refurbished so was pretty cheap. Cons: not many. thunderbolt input disabled some of the necessary picture settings so bright colors look way too saturated. So you have to use HDMI unless youre ok with some flashy colors. Secondly, the accessories for the refurbished one are packaged haphazardly. While I’m happy to not receive ton of accessories I’ll never use, the ones in the box (hdmi cable, power cable) could be better packaged and cleaner. ... show more

At an arms length away from the screen the colors are inconsistent especially at the bottom of the display where it looks like the back-light isn't as bright. Any slightly off-center viewing causes a sheen that dramatically impacts image accuracy. CAN NOT use for video or photo editing. Simply expected more for $800 USD. Item arrived with UI set to Korean with no instructions for changing the language.. so I can't read the menus to adjust colors, etc. Works well with a Mac. Convenient ports. Looks nice on my desk.. that's about all. ... show more

    • Washed out colors, flimsy stand, poor quality
The monitor is 4K but the colors are so washed out that it doesn't matter if it's 4K or 1080p. The stand is very flimsy the monitor keeps on wobbling if you have to reach out for menu adjustments. Would not recommend this monitor.
