Measuring 54" L x 12" H x 16" W, this travel case can accommodate larger 10.5" top golf bags with longer, 48" clubs. The hard-side travel case features a padded quilted interior with extra foam cushioning on top to protect club heads and the internal compression straps secure the golf bag. I am an older woman, 102 lbs, was very apprehensive about managing this case. I traveled alone checked my clubs at Newark airport, super easy & efficient. Clubs arrived in West Palm, and on the return, easy to collect them at baggage claim, United new terminal A. Silver color, fabulous too. Most of all, this case was super easy to manipulate through the airport to the outside curb, it is light but very solid, could handle it alone even pulling another small suitcase. Loved it, so easy to transport my clubs. Just make sure your car is big enough, case just fit in mine, not much room left over at all. Check length of your clubs, my bag & clubs are on the smaller size, lots of extra room in case. Thrilled with this purchase. Highly recommend plan to take them with me again in 3 weeks. ... show more

I'm reordering this golf case to replace an identical one that was recently destroyed by the airline. Even though the hard shell was cracked, the golf clubs were all OK. The previous case lasted 4+ years with a lot of travel. It has extra room to fit other items you are traveling with. It can either be pulled on 4 wheels standing up or on 2 wheels horizontally which is a nice feature. ... show more

    • I had high hopes...wheels are terrible which render this bag useless after a couple of trips

This bag has spinner wheels for upright maneuvering and "side" wheels for angled rolling (dragging). First time I used, one of the side wheels was partially torn off...filed airline claim and they paid, but super annoying. Third time I used, the other side wheel was torn off and one of the spinner wheels is jamming, making it very difficult to roll while upright. Overall, I give one star because although it's lightweight and protects the clubs well, the wheels are awful, rendering this bag useless after four trips (8 months). I'd also like to mention that Samsonite's warranty is a sham - they make you responsible for shipping the bag to them for repair. Either stand behind your product or don't - I feel like they are duping the consumer. Ultimately, I'm sure they will blame the airline for misuse, but the product needs to be engineered to withstand what is absolutely expected. Used it once so far and it was a breeze getting it to and through LGA and MYB. The spinner wheels were fine on concrete sidewalks and inside terminals. The clubs arrived pristine and the case was unscathed, though perhaps due to that I flew Delta which is perhaps the most golf-club friendly airline. Out of habit from my old soft side case, I wrapped the top in bubble wrap, which also helped stabilize them—for me, there was plenty of extra empty space even with shoes. Only drawback is the case won't easily go fit in trunks of smaller taxi cabs or rental cars, so think about requesting XL if you’re taking an Uber or Lyft. I had a soft travel bag for years, but decided to upgrade my bag ahead of a golf trip. This was the easiest thing to use with plenty of space to throw my golf shoes and a few boxes of balls in. The durable case was very lightweight and while it shows some scuff marks because baggage handlers seem to throw bags into and out of cargo holds, all my clubs came through unscathed. When you're riding with multiple golf bags like this, they do very well in SUVs without taking up a ton of room.
