I tried on many hiking shoes thanks to the use of Amazon Try Before You Buy program. These shoes hands down has the best quality and build of the other common shoe brands. The fit was as expected. Bought these to hike in Yosemite. Didn't require any break in time, fit well, good traction and waterproof. Happy to finally have an appropriate pair of hiking boots. Plus they look pretty good, so I'm very happy.
