Actually Helped Her Nails Feel Stronger Instead of Just Looking Shiny

This was another one of my wife’s nail-care purchases, and honestly she ended up liking it much more than some of the cheaper “strengthening” products she’s tried before. The biggest thing she noticed was that her nails actually felt a little stronger and less brittle after using it consistently instead of just temporarily looking glossy. The clear finish also makes it easy to wear by itself for a cleaner natural look or underneath other nail polish as a strengthening base coat. One thing she especially liked is that it dries fairly quickly without feeling super thick or gummy afterward. Some nail strengtheners feel like you dipped your fingers in plastic resin, but this stayed lighter and more comfortable. The shine is nice too without looking overly fake or overly heavy. It also seems to hold up reasonably well through normal daily life before needing reapplied. The bottle size is decent for the price, and overall it feels more like an actual nail-care product instead of just clear polish pretending to do something important. 😄 Overall, this has been a solid nail strengthener for helping support weaker or brittle nails while still looking clean and natural during everyday use.

Can't Say Enough Good about This Product Line

I'm a guy who likes to wear nail polish, and here's how that came about. A year ago, a dermatologist diagnosed my nails as delaminating: a process when the nails lose layers and become discolored and often dirty-looking despite good hygiene. I asked if I could wear polish over it, and they said if I wanted to cover it, sure, go ahead. I didn't refute the covering remark, and I started with Hard as Nails Advanced clear. I had been using miracle gel and dabbling in Insta-Dry before that. I could see improvement very soon--well, considering "soon" as relative when it comes to nail growth. I branched into other Sally Hansen products, like Complete Care 7 in One, Repair & Rescue, and even Vitamin # Nail & Cuticle Oil. I wanted those nails to be healed and not an embarrassment, even in a cashier's line. I credit Sally Hansen Products with a very nearly complete healing of the delamination, and I have announced that opinion to medical providers. It has taken about a year because nails that are actually deformed take a long time to recover. I had a couple that were unrecognizable to me in their shape; it was that bad. Without polish, not even a clear Hard as Nails, my nails look healthy and pretty nice to look at. I'm enjoying the colors, but if I'm in an inescapable and unfortunate situation of thinking my nail polish could be a negative in the mind of someone with whom I must interact, I have a really neat trick. One or two coats of Clear Hard as Nails and then a topcoat of Miracle Gel MATTE. Yes, they have a matte formula. When you put a coat or two of that over Hard as Nails or even Complete Care 7 in 1--great at presenting a smooth nail surface, it's nearly impossible for someone to tell you are wearing polish. I don't like to need to present that deception often because I am who I am, but.... Who's to know unless you tell them. I am a very strong advocate and proponent of Sally Hansen nail care products. Icing in the cake is the sometimes unbelievably low prices of their products, particularly the Hard as Nails Line. Would I buy it again? I haven't stopped in about 3 years, and I will continue to buy it. Sometimes 77 year old men can provide interesting insights, can't we?

I decided on day to actually learn what you are supposed to do with your nails correctly and decided to not just buy stuff from the dollar store anymore. That lead me down a deep rabbit hole about which products where best, the types of nail polish, undercoats, top-coats, gels, hardeners and AHHHhhhh! Suffice it to say I am more familiar and comfortable building a fire in my wood stove or fixing things around the house. I am also... kinda of cheap because I have brilliant children who will want to go to college someday and other things I am always saving up for. So, with all of that in mind I started the journey towards finding high quality but not too expensive clear coats. This was one of the 3 I bought and I am absolutely impressed! It lasts for weeks. I am pretty rough on my nails but this stuff just lasted and continued being shiny, smooth and keeping my nails happy. One thing I did notice which is probably just because I have never used anything like this before was that instead of breaking off in one big break like my nails normally do, with this on they flaked in layers or broke in smaller ways just at the tips. It didn't seem like it caused any negative issues because nails will always break eventually, but that was a change in how they reacted I noticed. So for the price and what it is the quality is there. It isn't too thick which is nice, and it dries quickly. Can't ask for much more for a basic hardener/clear coat.

Works well but still chips. Sally Hansen hard as nails has been a staple in my mom’s cupboard all my life. Recently I ruined my nails so purchased this is strengthening them though I do need to reapply every couple of days due to chipping!

I have bought this product twice now, and the first time I bought it it took 3 coats, 15 minutes to dry, and stayed on for 5 days. The second time I bought it it's taking more like 5 coats to keep my nails from breaking, still 15 minutes to dry, and only stays on for 3 days, BUT my nails DO GROW at an accelerated rate. Which I absolutely love! I will keep purchasing this product because I get results! Everybody love results when they buy a product! If you want your nails to grow, this is the product to buy folks!

This is the literal best nail topcoat for polish and gel polish I have ever used. When I put this on top of my polish or gel polish everything stays and it barely ever chips, but my dog broke it so sadly, I don’t have anymore.

No instructions came with this product. With a change in medication and vitamins my fingernails have tended to break just doing normal household tasks. I put on a layer twice a week as the coating does wear off working in the garden and outside tasks. But the 3 nails that would split have finally grown so they don't split using it this way. I don't know what other people do but in 3 months I haven't used half the bottle. And I don't ever remove it - just keep adding layers. Takes a few minutes to dry.
