This is the best top coat I have ever used! I don’t wear gloves when I wash dishes or do much to protect my polish but I have been trying to get a top coat that prevents chipping. This surpassed my expectations and protected my polish for 5-6 days without reapplying! I’m sure if I did what’s recommended and reapplied the top coat every 2-3 days I could get more than a week without chips! The rounded brush makes it easy to apply and the formula is very shiny once dried. It also is fully dried (not sticky) within 10 minutes if the previous coats are almost dry when you apply. Manicure is 5 days old, on day 3 of being in the pool all day and it's just starting to show wear. Best top coat out there. Takes forever to dry after application which is probably why it is so effective.

This nail polish is amazing in some ways and meh in others. It truly is incredibly chip resistant. The staying power is honestly so impressive. I like that the formula is thinner, makes it easier to spread on the nail. Where it falls a little short is on the finish, it scratches very easily making it a bit dull, it doesn't keep a high gloss shine. The Essie brand is amazing. I would definitely recommend getting this no-chip ahead top coat. I am a girl who usually prefers to wear regular polish ; but the biggest drawback, is that my polish would easily. I came across this product and gave it a try; never regretted it. I can wear my polish for more than a week if I don't go into the garden 😁. Get it! You won't regret it! ... show more

This is my second time applying. The first time, they chipped within a day… I wanted to give it another chance though since I was assembling furniture the day they chipped. But the pictures are 3 days after application. I also applied the Essie Ridge Filler base coat so I’m not sure which one is responsible for this. But my nails are certainly chipping and there’s crack or crease lines all throughout the top half of the nail. Would not recommend this product as a solution for chipping. Also, even if it did prevent chips, it goes on weird. After it dries (which takes forever btw), it almost feels like it soaks into the nail polish instead of sitting on top of it. ... show more

It does work as it says, but it kind of takes longer to dry than other top coats. It does what is intended, though, and does help to prevent chips wayy better than others I've used. It lasts about 3-7 days before starting to chip, but of course, that really just depends on your application process. My issue is that I have a gel allergy, and for some reason, this top coat seemed to irritate my skin as well, making it quite itchy and uncomfortable. I don't have this with other Essie polishes so it may just be an ingredient in this polish itself. ... show more

Hands down the best top coat I’ve ever used! I rarely paint my nails because after doing the dishes or taking a shower they will normally chip.
