I’m on day 8 and only now began sort of chipping at the edges, but it’s because I didn’t create a proper seal. I put on this base coat last Monday. Then the following Wednesday I layered on a French tip of Revlon Ultra HD Snap in white + Walmart’s cheap “ICE” Polish in a milky sheer pink + Sally Hansen Top Coat Double Duty. That turned out okay. Then the following Friday I layered this on again and with Essie’s Gel Couture top coat. Today is Friday, day 8, I do lots of dishes and is still looking fairly decent. My nails are starting to grow out neatly from under the nail beds. I highly highly recommend. I think the game changer is the combo of OPI base bottle + Essie’s Gel Couture top coat. Nothing extravagant, simple and works well. I am trying to grow out my natural nails after years of damaging them using acrylics. This stuff helps a ton and adds a cute shine to the natural nail that I quite love. It’s simple quiet and cute. There was a learning curve. The first time I tried it, the polish peaked off by the next morning. But this is because I didn’t prepare my nails. I didn’t wash them or get any oil off of them so it didn’t stick to the nail. But with the proper preparation….buffing, cleaning and dehydrating it will stay on for two weeks and honestly I’ve been reapplying within a week because my nails grow so fast!! Had to get something for my peeling nails, this seemed to be a good start. I have found that it did start to peel off only after about 4 days. Thickness is good and I hope this does some good. I really struggle with having nice nails. As a personal trainer and mom it seems like most of my time is spent lifting heavy things or cleaning. I love the shine this polish gives to my nails. And it dries quickly which is so important for someone busy like me. I do have to stay consistent with this polish. I have to paint my nails every few days as it does chip off from excessive hand washing. I have also tried painting multiple coats of this polish and it chips the same. awful, made my nails break off and i had pretty strong nails too. i just wanted something to maintain the strength as they get longer than the length of my finger. never should have bought it as it is ineligible for returns too. save your money.
