I love Essie nail polish in general but this is definitely my favorite top coat, it's easy to apply and dries quickly, leaving my nails looking shiny afterwards. I repurchased this but had gone about a year and a half without painting my nails as I was dealing with a chronic illness, when I was able to start painting my nails again I was surprised that the bottle was still good, I thought the formula would be a sticky, goopy mess after that long of a time but it was just as effective as the new bottles I've used. Decided to try this after reading reviews. I needed a base and top coat that didn’t dry my nails out. They were so dry and brittle after years of polish and acetone removers. I love the wider brush with both the Essie base and top coat. It’s so much easier to apply over using traditional skinny brushes. They both dried rather quickly and I’m hoping they make my polish stay on longer before chipping. I’ll have to update after I see how that goes but I’m impressed so far. ... show more

I have already reviewed Essie's First Base Coat in conjunction with the Good To Go Top Coat. I bought the two together and they have made an amazing difference to my manicure. I have always suffered with gloopy cheapies like Revlon, Sally Hansen, and Rimmel. Never again. Good To Go is a solid top coat and surprisingly very fast drying one as well - absolutely no sheet marks! I wouldn't say that it gives a crystal finish, but it was fast drying and gave my nails a good top. The feeling I get from Good To Go is more of a plasticky (acrylic or gel?) top. It seems very flexible and my nail is able to bend without causing chips and cracks, which is exactly what I want for my soft nails. Buy this with First Base! You won't be sorry! ***UPDATE*** So I find that the manicure lasts much longer and better than any other base and top coat combo I've ever used, but don't expect it to last for too long depending on how rough you use your nails. I've had chipping between the 2nd and 3rd days but always a small chip in a random place. There can be many factors to this, but this is why I took one star down. Since this is the first time I've "invested" in a better base and top coat, I'm wowed by the quality. I see a difference in the quality of my manicure, but it's not perfect. ... show more

I didn't have time to get my nails done before going on vacation, and I was headed to a very humid climate where it takes forever for nail polish to dry when doing them at home. This is the exception. My nails were completely dry within minutes. I also am always the one to ruin nail polish right away, and there was not smudging hours later with this.
