I don't use water first I out it on my dry face and rub and rub my problem areas .. I leave it in for 5 mins then I wash it off with warm water.. skin looks and feels amazing after one use.. I use it daily it does burn a tiny bit not anything serious , but that's how I know it's working .. I am not one to give 5 stars easily. I have struggled to control perimenopausal acne at my jawline for about 6 months. I have very sensitive skin. I have been doing weekly 50% glycolic peels from perfect image for about two years (for fine lines/wrinkles and Melasma, which it works great for). However, the glycolic didn’t help my breakouts much. I ordered this wash, and I had literally used it once. One day later, the patches of acne, bumps, red marks on both sides of my jawline were almost GONE, reduced about 95%, barely visible. It’s almost unbelievable, but it’s true. I had no burning the first time (my skin is used to peels, I guess). The second time, I used only little water and there was a tingle (wasn’t diluted much). I got so excited about how well this product worked, that I used it 3 days in a row, which was a BIG mistake - I then had skin dried out and flaking all over the place. Lesson learned - this product is too powerful for daily use - I'll use it twice a week. STILL THRILLED! I LOVE PERFECT IMAGE products. Fantastic find. Thank you!!

Be careful if you have sensitive skin! I bought this cleanser to use before a peel. I left it on for about a minute and a half. It turns out this WAS a peel.... for MY skin anyway!! I did not do a peel after. The next morning my face and eyes were very swollen and my skin extremely dry. I peeled for a good week. However, what was immediately obvious was my skin tone evened out beautifully. I’ve been trying for years to get a more even skin tone and this stuff did it in 1-1/2 mins! It’s now 10 days later and I’ve stopped peeling but am still pretty dry. I will use it again but only for 30 seconds to see if I’m still so sensitive. I’m white female age 57.

I love this product. I usually get cyst like boils around the time of my menstruation. I've tried everything and have even been to the hospital to get them surgically removed. It's usually under the skin and feels like a hard ball. In efforts to find a solution, I started to do heavy research and learned the benefits of salicylic acid. Since using this product, when I have a flare up I use this product and within a few days my cyst is gone.

Honest reivew. I gave this soap 4 stars b/c I really like it but want people to know it is not for sensitive skin or for moisturizing... It's drying and meant for a pre-peel. But I still love it. I use it 2 times a week and it is powerful and you should use on areas of the skin you are trying to correct. It's not moisturizing but it's effective in the sense that it peels ... it's not like a peel b/c it doesn't burn but it does promote cell regeneration. Hence why it still got 4 stars! I am continuing use and will try on spot treatment in spots I really need it. Like sun spots on cheeks... I will follow up with more info it is useful. Don't use more than 2 times per week if you have sensitive skins!!! and moisturize big time after. HOPE THIS WAS helpful!

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have used this for years and it works BETTER than ANY peel for acne I've tried because it literally eats through oil and SLOUGHS OFF DEAD SKIN, rather than creating dead skin - which is really what peels do. You know that feeling after a peel and the redness starts to go away or using a retinol or tretinoin overnight - and you feel like no amount of washing or scrubbing is going to get that leftover dead skin off? WELL, let this stuff sit on your face for a minute and rinse, suddenly that "invisible" dead skin is visible and ready to come off. This may sound weird but I use paper towels to drag along my face when drying after this product and dead skin LITERALLY ROLLS OFF LIKE CRAZY. What if I used makeup without doing this? Breakouts! THIS STUFF IS A MIRACLE. It also keeps my skin clean on a very deep level. LOVE IT!!!! I would freak out if this product discontinued. At night I use Philosophy's Purity Made Simple with my Ultrasonic brush to get the makeup off. Then I use this product. Then I use SkinCeuticals 1% retinol (Cheaper on Walmart.com). In the morning, I use this product again and drag a paper towel on my face to dry and visibly slough off pieces of dead skin that exfoliated overnight. FRESH ultra clean and exfoliated face for makeup!

I use this once a day, I’m on my second bottle now. I bought the first bottle in November or December. Usually I get Botox every four mo this but after using this daily I haven’t had Botox in 7 months. Over time it really does fade fine lines. It’s not for sensitive skin as it is harsh, and you do need a moisturizer after using this product. But if you want to eliminate fine lines this works. My skin is somewhat sensitive and I haven’t had any issues. Heads up the first few times you use it you may have some acne because it clears out your pores. I promise this product works

I was so nervous to use this product for the first time...I read and re-read blogs about it and I had nothing to fear. It was so easy to use. Clean your face, use the pads, leave on face for 90 seconds (first time) increase time for each additional use...not to exceed five min. so far so good. I am hoping to use this as part of my routine. I am so glad I found this product and inexpensive compared to going to a spa.
