The last step of putting the handle on the door the screw didn’t match up with holes in door and handle so I had to make the screw holes bigger to get it to work.

Overall, this unit will work as intended, but could have been better. It does look good. The instructions were printed on 5 inch x 7 inch paper, making reading and viewing the assembly steps difficult to follow. Would have been much better if printed on 8 x 10 paper. Biggest problem I had were the drawers that came with my unit. First, the glides are cheap, but adequate. They do not operate smoothly as I would expect for this type of cabinet. When assembled and put in place the drawer sides and bottoms hit the cabinet, indicating the pre-drilled guide holes were not placed correctly. I had to McGyver the glides by unscrewing the glides on the drawer sides and putting spacers of folded aluminum foil between the glides and drawer bottoms to lift the drawer higher so the drawer would not hit the cabinet bottoms when closing. Had to play with the foil thicknesses on each side of a drawer to try to get the side of the drawer to not hit the cabinet. Took a while but finally got there to where the drawers work properly. Not a great unit, but not altogether bad. Best I can rate is 3 stars. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Wish it was a little bigger but I liked it enough to keep it. It came with a chipped corner. My husband colored it black to cover it up.

    • Nice Design, but poor Quality Control

Packaging was good and nothing came damaged. Everything felt good quality overall but there are some defects. The holes in the metal mounts for drawer sliders don’t align properly with holes in the wood, causing drawers not to slide well and they don’t close properly. There is a significant noticeable dip in the middle of the top piece of wood. Before even putting the TV on it, the dip was present. With the TV on it and speakers on the side, it makes the dip very obvious. I don’t think the structural integrity is compromised because of it, but it looks very bad and all my guests have pointed it out. Finally, the instructions aren’t great. In several areas, the picture on the page didn’t match what the piece looks like in real life and there were many parts that don’t seem to get used (not extras, just entirely unused parts). I was still able to get though the build, but the instructions certainly caused delays. If I could go back in time, I would not buy it again. The dip in the wood and misaligned drawers are a deal breaker for me and makes the otherwise nice unit feel cheap. Also because it isn’t through Amazon Prime, you can’t return for free. I guess I just have to live with this. ... show more

Slightly complicated to build but only because the instructions are not clear on the direction things go. I'm asomewhat handy woman and was able to put it together myself in about 3 hours. Overall it's a really nice sturdy console for the price.
