This is a spring loaded pen holder that fits in place of small CNC spindle. I've been using it with gel pens for drawing on paper on a CNC router. Make sure it fits your machine, or that you have an adapter for any size difference.

Very good additional attachment to have. After a couple of learning test samples this worked great. I found this tool to be very helpful when drawing a part or drawer insert organizer BEFORE I start cutting wood.

Sainsmart makes a lot of nice tools and devices, their "ProVer" CNC machine being the exception (it's a piece of ...). This tool though, clamps right on to that useless spindle and now you've got yourself a CNC machine that will actually do something, like draw a circle. Fun to use, easy too. Put a cutter in it and cut some stuff! Put an eraser in it and wish your problems would go away! Put a crayon in it and pretend your parents loved your fridge art. Memories... Anyways, best part about this tool is that you can set it up on your Sainsmart CNC machine and then get a real visual idea as to where your machine limits are. You'll be disappointed as me, I can only hope. Turn that $500 paperweight into something new with this tool holder. You'll be pleasantly surprised, I have no doubt about that! 5/5, pretty well made.

This is a good quality drawing mechanism. My general experience with Genmitsu is that their machines and components are more heavy duty than expected for a consumer product. I found there is sufficient instruction available to set this up. I have a 3030 and it works well with my setup. This tool holds the pencil or marker solidly keeping it relatively accurate. I found that markers work the best but with some testing a pencil or pen will work fine. Overall this is a nice accessory to add drawing functionality to your machine and exclude the need for a new dedicated machine.
