The color is a lovely darkish blue, kind of the color of the sky at dusk. I am returning it only because it has heavy wrinkles that will NOT go down and I’ve tried everything. I was somewhat reluctant to purchase a rug at this price point but it just seemed too perfect not to take the chance. The fibers are densly woven and it just feels nice and heavy/total quality. No frayed edges and you can feel the dense natural fibers. Our rug shipped quickly and everything was exactly as shown. Has a very nice classy look with impressive quality. At the time I bought this the specific color and size combination showed about 50% off based on the other colors. Weird as heck, but maybe they had an overstock situation? Anyway, at that price I can't believe what a great buy this is. The carpet has just enough texture to be enjoyable to walk on in socks or bare feet. In fact, your vacuum cleaner will need to be able to handle this feature. The color is fantastic. Which is a huge bonus since I was swayed by the pricing and didn't start off looking for blue. Nice natural wool, quality, classy pattern for the price <350$ but this 9x12 arrived so stained! Manufacturer did not quality check rug, very disappointing! It’s too expensive to hire movers to remove this rug, ship it back, wait for a new one (which may also be damaged) and move huge furniture again. Buyer beware!! ... show more

    • Won't lay flat
Looks nice...color is good...but this rug will NOT lay flat. It's wavy...almost looks like air bubbles. You step on one of the "bubbles" or put a book on it and the bubble will flatten out. But as soon as your remove weight, the bubble pops back up. And there are multiple waves/bubbles all across the rug. I even tried putting a heavier rug on top of it (with furniture on top of the heavier rug) and left it for a week. But when I took the furniture and the heavy rug off, the waves/bubbles are still there. Aside from not looking right, the waves/bubbles are a trip hazard. So I'm rolling this rug up, wrapping it in plastic, and shipping it back. What a pain. ... show more

This ivory runner is the 2nd of 3 rugs in this pattern that I have ordered and need to send back. Shipping has taken especially long to Hawaii (it’s also holidays). Both the 6’x9’ rug and runner arrived with brown spots in between the raised detail. The larger rug seemed like it was a return that was sent out again, since it was missing some of the original wrapping and had a mess of tape on the outer bag. The runner arrived with the same stains. It is a gorgeous rug, and if you are willing to risk getting a stained one it may be worth trying to get a clean one. But don’t buy it if you don’t want to wrestle the packaging off and then back on again and deal with the hassle of returns. Also, you’ll need a ton of tape and patience to wrap it back up and lug it around. I’m hoping to get lucky on the 3rd rug that is set to arrive soon. If the stains were removable I might have kept these, but it appears to be integrated into the paste holding the rug maybe to the backing. I can’t tell. It is kind of crusty in the low areas between the pattern. The larger rug also had frayed edges, so I’m unsure how these rugs will hold up. They might be great for staging a house to sell but not for daily living. I’ve tried to photo the spots but they don’t show well on camera. Too bad that is not the case in person! The first 3 photos are from the runner, the last 4 are from the 6’x9’ rug. Honestly, it is just not worth it, but maybe I got the rejects of these rugs, because these sizes seem to be sold out now. ... show more
