This is a very appealing and quality rug for the size and price. Needed an upgrade for a high traffic family room, that coordinated with my brown leather sofas with cream, beige, and gray pillows. The blue accent flowers in the rug are not as noticeable as it may seem, but rather blend well with the rug colors. The rug pattern and colors flatter the neutral decor and coastal colors in my home. The rug was delivered early (thank you, Amazon!) and folded, not rolled. It did take two adults to unfold, lay out, then roll overnight to eliminate creases (as recommended in the directions received in the delivery). Pictured are some decor items near the rug for color comparison. Recommend a quality rug pad underneath for cushion and stability. Looked for over a year to find a practical, affordable, neutral rug. I purchased is rug in a 11x15 after having bought 3 runners and 2 smaller ones. The runners and small rugs are gorgeous and had no smell when purchased. The colors are beautiful! There is a touch of blue that is not overly noticeable yet adds a special touch. The 11x15 is gorgeous but oh my word the smell!!! I’m not sure we will be able to keep it unless the air purifier can get rid of the smell. I’m very disappointed because I had hoped to switch out all of my rugs in my 5 bed 5 bath home including my breakfast room and dining room with this one. Update: once the smell cleared it was exactly what I had hoped for. Very soft, colors are versatile as it’s not a true grey more greige, and super easy to clean. ... show more

I was so excited to receive this rug, arrived a day early! It was folded and carefully packaged in heavy duty reinforced packing paper and securely taped. Some reviewers said their rug arrived rolled, so initially I was concerned that mine would be creased. I unwrapped it and re-rolled it and left it for a few hours and that seemed to ease any creasing. The rug is very soft and the color palette is muted and lovely: grey background, taupe border, cream accents and pops of blue. I think the sheen and colors allow the rug to adapt to the colors around it; in my case, the taupe border really stands out and blends wonderfully with my taupe upholstered bed and “greige” walls. As other reviewers have noted, the grey background has some blue tones, and the pops of blue are more of a slate blue rather than navy. It does have that “new carpet” smell but I expect that to dissipate in a few days. Overall so very pleased and I think this rug will be durable, easy to clean, and pet-friendly. ... show more

This rug is excellent quality. It has just enough grey and taupe to go beautifully with our farmhouse decor. We got the 10x12 and it was folded we followed the directions included and had not problems with wrinkles.

I’ve ordered many rugs from this company over the years, and this is the only time I’ve ever subtracted a star. I ordered a 9x12 ft rug to replace the previous 9x12 ft rug - which was also made by Safavieh. It’s smaller than 9x12 - it’s actually 8.5x12 ft. While it’s not a huge difference, it’s enough to be noticeable in our room, AND I had to trim down the existing rug pad to accommodate the smaller size. ... show more

We ordered another rug for our living room, and sent it back, because the pattern was so busy it distracted from the beautiful fireplace in the room. I bring this up, because we were able to compare that rug with this one, and what a difference. The pattern and colors - greige (gray/beige), cream and a hint of blue is more subtle, without the washed out, vintage worn look that a lot of the rugs we viewed have. The weave on this rug is more dense and soft than the first rug we purchased (we know this from not only looking and walking on it, but by the weight). And the price, what a deal! We have a really expensive ($800) rug we purchased 20 years ago in another room, and this Safavieh is comparable to that one in both aesthetics and quality. Also, this rug came rolled up, and we've had no issues with creases and odor that some people complain about rugs that ship (the first one we ordered came folded with creases. Just love this rug!
