Really loved this rug when I first got it! Very soft and very shaggy, just what I was looking for! Only down side...the foot traffic really ruined it. We have had it in our living room for 6 months now and in the spots we walk on everyday it has become matted and rough! Really sucks now it looks gross and cheap...not worth the price in my opinion, unless there's a way to correct it (and event then, not real worth it) We never wear shoes on it and only use the highest setting on our vacuum for it. This rug was a great purchase for us! I was looking for something very plush, cozy/glam and thick. This fit the bill! My pictures are a tad dark, just the lighting. It's a bit more white in person, which I love. We put a rug mat underneath it to also help with the cushioning and to protect the floors. This rug is WHITE, not cream or off white - just what I was looking for so I really want to love this rug but ... It has no support/backing ... Best I can describe it is like walking on a furry bare floor. It doesn't feel squishy or make the floor any less hard ... It's just pretty and furry. Also, I don't know official rug terms but it's not dense at all, it seems like there are so few strands of the carpet you can actually feel the grid-like backing off the carpet under your feet. This rug has exceeded my expectations, as I’ve ordered several over the years and I am usually disappointed. {It’s hard buying certain things online — without being able to touch it or test it, you know !?} But this rug is a WINNER !! It is thick, soft, fluffy, and a true bright white. The back is thick and solid too; although we have a king bed and bench on it, I doubt it would move much, even on wood floors. I had initially considered a separate pad underneath, but I’m glad I didn’t get one, because it doesn’t need it. It’s easy to maintain (SLIGHTLY tough to vacuum because it’s such a high pile, but I really mean very slightly — and it doesn’t suck up or rip out any of the fibers). It does not shed. It does not smell. It is beautiful. Excellent quality. Great value. It is exactly what I was looking for, and it is truly one of the nicest rugs I’ve ever owned. I was so nervous to buy this due to price and some reviews but it’s incredibly soft and comfortable and so far seems to be decent quality. It’s slightly more vibrant than what the product photo shows but still a soft pink color. Took a few hours to flatten out after being unrolled but it’s holding out well. I have seen a few reviews that I have to agree with - it's easy to lose small items (screws, nails, likely small legos) in this rug so just keep that in mind. Love it. Love it. Full and lush but fiber is silky and fine so there isnt a ton of body to it. Looks much thicker than it feels. Lux under bare feet, but silky-soft, not thick-soft. Delivers a very sophisticated aesthetic. Has a pretty luster that swings more glam or feminine. Probably not the right choice to create a cushiony play surface for the baby, or to throw down in front of the family sofa. More ZGALLERIE than Restoration Hardware. More Paris than SoHo.
