I don't know if it would be difficult to keep clean over time. I got a small circular one (4 feet) just to add some coziness to a sitting area in my office. This rug is amazing! It's so comfy, thick and pretty. I loved it so much I ordered it in 3 different sizes for my home. I've had the rugs for several months with no matting...not sure what the others were doing to this rug that complained about matting. Sure, it should not be the rug you put in your entrance way just to prevent unnecessary wear and tear. That's not what this rug is designed for. I have a shark vacuum that cleans it well without pulling rug fibers from the actual rug. I do "groom" it by fluffing it from time to time with my fingers. Does shed lightly. ... show more

Got this rug in IVORY 5x8 . For my large bedroom. I was specifically looking for a thick , fluffy rug that you do not feel the backing of, or would have to slip if its too thin and this is exactly what a fluffy thick rug is supposed to be. Ive purchased other rugs from tj max and ross and they dont compare to this luxe rug!!! Like this is some luxury fr. It costs to have quality lol. when I walk on this. Its like walking on some foam that does not go down. The texture/ fabric also feels best. Best investment i did for my room. ! So fluffy and exactly what I was looking for! . Beautiful, thick 2x3 rugs but they arrived with a sticky/waxy substance all over the top. My hands were dirty from handling it. This substance on the rugs may have been from rubbing against the one plastic covering in shipping? Another rug I purchased from Safavieh had two plastic coverings and it was fine.
