My go-to furniture assembler kept remarking on how nice this piece is and how it’s too bad it’s not real wood. He hasn’t purchased new furniture in decades so take his remarks with a grain of salt. I typically buy my furniture used because I want quality furniture but don’t want to spend thousands. This piece is beautiful and sturdy. The metal panels in the doors add some visual interest while partially hiding what’s behind them. While searching for a new TV console, I made do with an old IKEA Besta unit. This Safavieh piece, while gorgeous, provides the same amount of storage provided by my much narrower Besta so pay attention to storage dimensions if that matters to you. Just because it’s wider and taller does not mean you’re getting more storage. The legs on this thing account for a good amount of the height! As for assembly, there are a lot of screws and you’ll probably want to use a cordless screwdriver or drill. You can assemble by hand, but it will take a while. I remember there being some weird alignment with the bottom frame (last holes not aligning properly), but we made do. The door fronts definitely need to be aligned after assembling, but we haven’t even attempted that yet because we put this together late in the evening after a long weekend. I can’t imagine it will be tricky for anyone who is handy with tools or at least patient with that sort of thing. I am not and probably wouldn’t consider buying this again if I had to rely on myself to align the doors. Slightly crooked doors may not be terrible in the grand scheme of things, but the included knobs will highlight any misalignments. ... show more

We love this gorgeous piece of furniture! It fit our tv on top and all of our movies, video games consoles, laptop and all of the electronic accessories we have in it (which is a lot!😅). The doors are slow closing which is very much appreciated with small children too. The off white and gold colors match perfectly in our home too. The only complaint we have (we've seen other comments complain about) is that the doors are just slightly off, maybe by 1/4 inch or so. So it's not a huge deal and doesn't affect the function, it's just a visual preference thing. ... show more

This is one attractive piece of furniture. It was easy to assemble. Very sturdy. The metal mesh on the doors is the stand-out feature for me. Would be nice if the wood wasn’t scratched. Not really sure how to fix it and returning is way too much of a hassle. Really disappointed because the dimensions and design are perfect.

Nice product but be aware comes in two separate shipments. Just so you aren’t alarmed when you open the box and only half the pieces are there. Another box should come the next day with the rest of the pieces.
