Description

The 6360 ALS/SLS Level 3 Retention Outside-the-Waistband (OWB) duty holster is sturdy, lightweight, and provides an extra measure of security. The ALS (Automatic Locking System) builds on the foundation of the SLS (Self Locking System) to offer Level 3 Retention. The SLS rotating hood closure allows for a smoother, single-motion draw and greater protection against attempted firearm takeaways. The ALS system automatically secures the firearm once holstered and can be deactivated via the thumb lever. 6360 ALS/SLS Level 3 Retention Outside-the-Waistband (OWB) duty holsters include two sizes of the molded Universal Belt Loop (UBL) for mounting to both 2” (50mm) and 2.25” (58mm) duty belts.

I bought the 6360 in hopes of replacing a Slurpa (SERPA) that was issued to me. After reading up on the faults of the SERPA using the index trigger finger to release the retention and then in turn causing some discharges into owners feet, upper legs, etc. I wanted the ALS because I had originally started with an ALS earlier in my career and liked the draw and retention levels. After buying a weapon mounted light (Surefire X-300 Ultra) I took the plunge and bought the holster that would fit my M&P 40. The holster was like the other ALS that was issued to me as far as ride and fit. I also liked the mid-ride of the holster instead of the lower ride of the SERPA. This comes in handy when a majority of your job is driving around in a vehicle. The holster doesn't ride up your side and you can actually draw from a seated position instead of the rear of the firearm being blocked by the seat or seatbelt. The two hoods on the ALS is also a nice compliment to the holster since it somewhat deters front take aways of the firearm. The X-300 Ultra fits perfectly in there and with the larger bezel than the original X-300 there should not be any reason to take out the cover cap at the bottom of the holster. If you are on the verge of choosing either a SERPA or the ALS please go with the ALS. If not only for the reasons I stated above the weapon mounted lights options are double of what you can fit in the SERPA. Blackhawk only has their light as an option for the SERPA and you can not fit any other WML on there. With the ALS you can either go with Streamlight or Surefire WMLs. ... show more

Safariland is the best duty holster period. Do not trust your life to any other holster. Had blackhawk serpa before issued by my job and got rid of it asap.

Yay!!! Four holsters later and Finally a holster that fits ! I have a smith and Wesson 40 duty holster and a TLR-1HL light this thing gotta like a glove, very sturdy and a level 3 you can’t beat it! Very happy won’t even go back to Blackhawk
