I didn’t think just 3 months after buying this holster I’d be in a fight with a suspect over my gun, but I will forever be in debt to safariland level 3 holsters... the suspect was never able to even put the hood down, and even after pulling and yanking on it with a lot of force, nothing broke and my gun was never able to come out of the holster. So for all those M&P 2.0 9mm full-size w/ thumb safety(5") on the fit chart it says that the 6360 will fit with the olight PL valkyrie but it won't unless you remove the retention screw at the end of the holster (seen in photo) after doing so holster worked and operated just fine

BE AWARE: The product description only says “fits Glock 17 with light”, but does not specify what weapon-mounted light. Do your research of the full model number listed to make sure it is the correct weapon-mounted light. I bought this exact product for my Glock 17 with a TLR1-HL and this holster DID NOT work with that light.

It’s made to except a crazy stream light but I have the 800 lm version so this was a bit long and kinda pinched my Butt in a cruiser seat. I and many other people in my Dept cut away the extra kydex and no one would ever know it was not manafactured that way. Now it’s perfict. This holster is smooth, safe, and FAST! This review is after two years of use.

Great retention - exactly what you'd expect from the Level III retention which is advertised. The hood makes it very hard for bad guys to take it away from you when holstered. It is also solidly built and doesn't seem like it'll fail in a stressful situation even after years of use - though of course only time will tell. It didn't seem to need a break-in period; it fit my 5" Govt 1911A1 (with adjustable rear sight) perfectly right out of the box. If you're used to lower (or no) retention levels, I'd very strongly recommend diligently practicing your draw from this holster - at least 200 practice draws before you strap it on and take it out in public. I moved from an IWB holster to this one, and my draw is almost as fast with this holster as with my IWB (which had Level 0 retention). I have no doubt that with a little practice, I'll equal (if not surpass) my IWB draw speed and smoothness. One thing which you might find helpful is to view the Safariland videos on YouTube which show you the proper technique for a fast smooth draw from this holster - for me, the critical part was the part which said to get a natural operating draw grip on the gun, which very naturally disengages the ejection port lock mechanism. Without this tip, I was taking about half a second more to explicitly use my thumb to disengage this lock. However, on viewing the video I tried the technique mentioned therein, and found that it was much smoother, quicker and more natural. Oh, I must mention that I got the Left-hand version (I'm cross-dominant). Finding good quality left-hand-draw holsters is often troublesome, so kudos to Safariland for making this a standard option. I'm planning to buy a couple more for my other carry-designated firearms.

The screws in my Thumbdrive were constantly coming loose, and ended up even losing a couple. Bought this to replace. It’s a really nice holster. The one issue is that it’s very snug. The felt lining makes it a little difficult to pull my weapon or return it, but I think it’ll give a little with someone time. Other than that, it’s very nice.

This holster is durable and a great value for the money. The feature I appreciate the most is that it has two locking mechanisms. This gives you confidence that if you are hands on with someone it will be harder for your sidearm to be taken. Also, even if the first locking mechanism is secure you can draw your weapon quite fast. If you are at the range conducting a qualification you can release the first locking mechanism for an even quicker draw.

The Safariland 6360 is a high quality duty type holster designed primarily for police officers, security guards, and others needing a strong retention holster to maintain control of their firearm under various on-duty situations. This is a level III retention holster that provides a high level of security for your firearm and with the addition do the Safariland Sentry can be upgraded to a level IV holster for an additional level of security. This holster is made of high quality materials and is sturdy and robust. This is NOT a holster for concealment as it is quite large and bulky. But if you require a holster that will retain your firearm under difficult situations this is the one you want...!!! I trust my life to this holster on a daily basis and have not found a more secure duty holster on the market. I highly recommend this holster ...!!!
