Works well and was a nice add to have a quick disconnect on my ATV battery, which is primarily used in the winter so now if the battery is dead, I can just swap it out without even to undo any bolts in cold weather. A jumpstart did blow the 10 amp fuse that’s included but a higher capacity fuse did the trick and I connected two of these cables together and just covered all the wire from the other one going to my ATV in a reverse polarity so that when the battery is hooked up, it’s the correct polarity. The wire gets very mildly warm when starting but in normal operation is a completely normal temperature. ... show more

I need a longer SAE ring terminal battery connector. Most are typically two feet like this Sparking. However, do consider convenience if you do not wish to open your hood every time you want to disconnect and drive off. I settled on another brand at 3.28 ft., allowing for my Audi’s long reach from engine bay battery posts up through the cowl by the wipers. This allows your trickle charger to be plugged and unplugged at the windshield with no need to open the hood. Simply push the cable down to hide below the wipers and you are good to drive and go. It all depends on your needs, and your car. For the placement of many batteries, two feet is AOK and this one, while a thinner, gauge worked fine when I tested it. ... show more

This SAE harness is high quality and uses a fairly heavy gauge wire. Heavier gauge than the shorter harnesses that typically come with battery chargers. My battery is in the trunk under a panel and is not easy to get to. I keep a charger on a convertible that doesn't get much use in the winter so I wanted an easy way to connect it. The battery charger I bought came with a short harness as well as short leads from the charger itself. As a result I couldn't connect the charger and leave it sitting on the garage floor because it wouldn't reach. This cable solved that problem. Now I have enough length to run it to the floor and connect to the battery charger. I highly recommend this quality harness. ... show more

    • use it to jump start motorcycle and truck. works perfect.

I bought a noco boostx45 and the adapter that you install on your battery allowing you to directly plug into it instead of having to use the small alligator clip jumper cables that come with the noco. well, i went to jumpstart my bike one day and the noco was no go. it was showing a short circuit so it wasnt letting the unit do its job. that led to me ordering an Eastern Beaver PC8R fuse panel for my bike and removing the adapter cable from the battery. I have a sae usb charger installed by bikes "dashboard" on one of the direct circuits that allows me to disconnect the little usb port adapter and plug in this sae unit. Then i use the alligator clips on the noco to clip onto this units ring terminals, which then gives me direct input into the 12v system. Its a little jerry rigged, sure, but it definitely beets having to remove the little tool box covering the battery compartment just to get to the battery's terminals.
