Update: the seller was extremely responsive and sent me the component that was missing along with a lot of extra components to make up for my trouble getting in touch with them. Everything arrived in two days time, which I think was amazing responsiveness. I've attached a video of first flight with the object avoidance component. It's very short because I have a lot to learn, and I've made a lot of mistakes so far, but I'm optimistic that this will be a good starter drone. This drone seems well made for the price and has excellent features, with one caveat, which I'll get to later in the review. The controller has a good quality, bright screen that's easy to read in sunlight, and the controls are very responsive. I'm a beginner drone pilot and this is the perfect drone for my learning experience. It's got good range and comes with two, fast charging batteries that enable me to have plenty of flight time while learning to operate the drone. Here's the one caveat that I mentioned at the beginning: this drone is supposed to come with an obstacle avoidance unit that attaches to the top, but this unit was missing when I received the item from Amazon, which makes it very difficult to fly. It took over 3 months to make contact to get a replacement, but Amazon technical assistance finally got me to the right contact at the seller, and they're sending a replacement. Once I made the right contact, support was extremely responsive and got the replacement part shipped out immediately. I'll be able to provide a more comprehensive review once that replacement part arrives and I can take full advantage of all the features.

Product Overview I bought this drone as a gift for my 9 year old daughter. She had never flown a drone before, so I was looking for something beginner friendly but still fun enough to keep her interested after the first few flights. Setup and First Flights Getting it ready to fly was fairly straightforward. After charging the battery and pairing it with the controller and app, we were able to get it in the air without much frustration. The one key takeoff and landing feature made those first attempts much less intimidating for her. Within a short time she was able to hover and move it around the yard with confidence. Flight Stability and Controls The drone is surprisingly stable for its size. The altitude hold feature helps it maintain height without constant adjustments, which made it much easier for a child to control. Headless mode was also helpful since she did not have to worry about which direction the front of the drone was facing. It responds well to the controller without feeling overly sensitive. Camera and Features The built in camera is more of a fun extra than a serious photography tool, but for a 9 year old it is exciting to see the live view on a phone. She enjoys recording short clips and taking simple aerial pictures of the yard. The flip function is also a favorite feature and works consistently once you get the hang of it. Durability As expected with a beginner learning to fly, it has had a few light bumps and landings that were not perfectly smooth. So far it has held up well and continues to fly normally. The included spare blades are a thoughtful addition in case of wear or minor damage. Overall Use For a child just getting into drones, this has been a good fit. It is simple enough to learn without constant adult control, but still engaging with features like flips and live video. It feels well suited for beginners and makes a fun gift for a younger child who wants to try flying for the first time.

I bought this before leaving on a week-long trip to entertain my tween boys. They thoroughly enjoyed it and was a great way to introduce them to drone flying without breaking the bank and drone. I have a nicer drone I use for aerial venue photos, and it was interesting to see the similarities in some of the technology trickle down. We tested it for about 4 days. They were able to learn how to fly pretty effortlessly other than the changes in speed and some of the buttons. I recommend studying the manual a little more in depth than I probably did so when a change is made you know what it did and don't have a haywire drone flying off into tress. I did hit a tree and it survived and I was happy about that. It seemed tough enough to take some abuse without being damaged. I didn't get to test out the camera function, but it does have it. Night flying was cool with the lights! that was fun to see it and flip it and do a mini show. Comes with spare parts and charging cords and everything to start your fun!

This is a great drone for a child's first drone. It has built-in blade protection so it can bump off things and keep flying. the led lights are helpful to know which way it's pointing and what speed mode it's in. On high speed its FAST for an indoor drone. the camera is low quality, but perfect for flying room to room in a house. It comes with 2 extra sets of prop blades in case you break them. the controls are easy enough for a young kid to understand, and it flies pretty easily.
