I've only had it a couple of days, so the real test will come when I start some projects that put more demand on this nail gun, however I can't tell you how wonderful I'm thinking this Ryobi brad nailer is so far! I had seen a few DIY website people rave about it, so I was excited to get one of my own and I've had good experience with refurbished items in the past, so I went ahead and made my order! I'm a single gal (with not much DYI experience) in the early stages of remodeling a 1300 square foot condo, so I only needed something to assist me with some trim work and possibly some crown molding. I don't have an air compressor and really didn't like the idea of having something bulky that I'd have to store when not using. This wonderful gun uses a battery (not included). I read some reviews and went with the Ryobi P107 18-Volt One Plus Compact Lithium. I read reviews that this battery was slightly lighter and kept a charge longer than other options would. Since it was only a few dollars difference in price, I went for it. The charger and the battery I purchased both arrived shortly before my gun did so I had things charged and ready once I had the nail gun in my hands. Not gonna lie, when I finally had the assembled Ryobi in my hands I got nervous. I'm a complete noob when it comes to "fancy" power tools and this one qualifies. I carefully read reviews and watched a video online before playing with this new toy. Thus far I've only put a few nails into an old cabinet, but by golly, it WORKED! And it was so easy to use. I know as time goes on I'll learn more about the settings and special features, but right out of the box, it placed my test nails at the perfect depth. And it was so easy to use!! Very happy. If for any reason, over time, I have more information to add, I'll surely update this review, but otherwise, consider me one very happy customer. I got this refurbished. It was the first time I have ever done that. It was so much more expensive new and it was backordered. So I took the risk. I am so glad I did. I have had no issues. Remodeling the house. Have several other Ryobi 18V Power Tools. This was a refurbed tool but works great and saved me a few bucks. So far we built a wainscoting around the tub in our newly remodeled bathroom and reinstalled the door casing. Plan to do the wainscoting in the rest of the master bath and in the hallway bath. We also plan to reinstall the quarter-round or other trim along the baseboards after the wood floors are refinished. Hey, maybe even some chair rail in the breakfast nook. ... show more

The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is, like many others, I experienced jamming with the firing pin. The first fire was perfect and then I became frustrated as the next several fires did nothing. The firing pin was not retracting properly which was causing the issue. However after sliding the pin back manually a couple times I have yet to have another issue. Aside from that initial mishap the gun has been performing like a champ. I have now gone through over a full sleeve of 1 1/2 inch brads with no problem. It has great power, is easy and comfortable to handle and fairly light weight. I also like that you have the ability to control the sink depth and power of this gun. The lights are also a nice touch. Once again, an overall very good nailer, especially considering the price and convenience. I would recommend this nailer as well as Ryobi in general. ... show more

Terrific product for finishing jobs that otherwise would have taken a lot longer. This little brad nailer is powerful and lasts quite a long time with a full charge of the battery (not included). I was really impressed with the level of adjustment that can be achieved with it. It is a little heavy, but nothing that most people cannot handle. I bought this for a simple trim job, but found myself coming up with excuses to use it for many other projects. I am pleased with the purchase and glad that I opted for the refurbished unit. I use this mainly to hold trim, or small pieces of wooden shop jigs until the glue dries. Much easier to grab this, than fire up the noisy air compressor to use an air-driven unit. Operation is simple. The brads are not large, but they get the job done. Note this was a reconditioned unit. It works great. The packing for shipment was not so great, but it arrived in working condition with nothing bent, broken, or dinged. ... show more

Product from Ryobi is good. Four star. The "factory reconditioned" piece I was sent was garbage. It was like someone dropped it off the back of a moving truck and tried to resell it. On top of the visible damage, it didn't work. I sent it back for refund and of course got charged for shipping and still waiting for reimbursement as far as I can tell. It was easier to just go to Home Depot and get a new one which worked great out of the box. Been using it for a couple weekendss in light duty and it's fine so far. ... show more
