  • Very powerful
It’s not as heavy as I thought it would be. And although it has high torque, it doesn’t feel like it in your hand. Took off a spindle nut that had been torqued to 177 ft. lbs. in literally 2 seconds. It arrived in a Ryobi box but smelled kinda weird and was dusty. But it seems new and works great. I really like this impact and I’m glad I picked it over the p262. ... show more

  • Great Quality Impact, Especially for the Price
Solid impact for under $140. Other competitors make you pay $400 or something similar for this level of torque. It was able to do what I needed it to, breaking loose rusted bolts on my car’s break caliper bracket. Didn’t struggle either. Decided to purchase because of 2 personal connections who vouched for Ryobi tools. Was worth the purchase for sure, just make sure you get the proper battery to allow for the best performance. ... show more

  • Great product
Great product for the money. Very high torque to take off lug nut.

  • By far the best impact Tool I’ve ever owned
PBLIW01 This is the very best impact tool I ever bought. It is heavy and Quality I’ve only used it twice so far, but it does wonderful on lug nuts Highly recommend

  • She's a boss!
I love it! A bit heavy and big, but plenty of power. You better keep a strong hold on it though. Good price and works with all my existing Ryobi items. Whenever I've had it with a bolt where penetrating oil and torque hasn't worked, I just breakout this tool.

  • Powerful but HEAVY; a Must have for mechanics
TLDR: This thing is a BEAST, but also HEAVY. I got this for working on my truck (mainly helping me remove the rusted stuck bolts on my exhaust system), I made sure to do my research on the different Ryobi models before I bought it and selected this model because of the high torque rating for removing nuts and I liked that it had selectable power modes. Let me say first thing first, this thing has enough power to break free any nut or bolt you’ll throw at it within the blink of an eye; I’ve only seen it hesitate removing a rusted on nut once and even then it only hesitated for about 3 seconds before it popped it free. One thing though; make sure when tightening bolts to have it on either auto mode or the first two settings because I managed to snap a brand new 3/8 inch steel U-bolt for my exhaust hangers in half over tightening it. Also make sure you use the “high performance” marked batteries as the non “high performance” batteries apparently don’t have enough juice to run the tool on high power (3) mode (or at least the 1.5AH non “high performance” battery I have wouldn’t work on 3 only the two lower power modes) The only Con I’ve found for this tool so far is the weight, using this tool upside down for extended periods made my carpal tunnel flare up so bad that I had to stop working on my truck for a few days to let it ease up before finishing. I didn’t think about it when I was doing my research before buying, but 5lbs (or 6.63lbs w/ 4ah battery) is a lot heavier than you realize when it’s in one hand and the majority of the weight is centered behind your hand right above your wrist. All in all, this tool at this price ($130) is an amazing value and must buy; the size is right, the shipping speed is on point, and the compatibility with Ryobi 18v battery system is perfect. ... show more

  • Performs well, great deal.
Works great. More than enough torque for lug nuts and most automotive suspension hardware. Ryobi is TTI, same as Milwaukee and Ridgid. I've compared to coworkers Milwaukee...I think they are approximately the same, yes, the "red brand" does have more torque. If I need more than this, the IR231 or the "Thor", or 3/4 drive pneumatics come out, which I'll still have long after all the plastic rechargeables are in a landfill, regardless if they are green, red, or yellow. All being TTI, I think of it as a marketing scheme, they know that some people will pay twice as much to have a bit more torque and a brand name. Some women have thousand dollar handbags to carry around 10 Oz of stuff, too. And they "know" theirs is better. I think the quality of all is similar, just as an escalade is no better than a Yukon, just somehow more of an ego boost. Ryobi batteries fron the '90s are still interchangeable, I do appreciate that. I watch some tool reviews on "torque test channel" on YouTube...it is annoying that all of them, according to his testing, overstate their torque capabilities. But this one is pretty good, and a very good deal. ... show more

  • I’ve named mine the nut buster 9000
Struggled for days trying to get the anode rod out of my hot water heater tank. I tried breaker bars, cheater bars, and another smaller impact. Finally I used this and it was a joke. Came off in seconds. I’m using this now working on my car as well and it makes everything a breeze. Bolts with years of caked on grime and rust come off like nothing. Highly worth the money and recommend to all. ... show more
