This RV telescoping flag pole kit from SMOQIO is just what I was looking for. The support base is steel, the pole is aluminum and telescoping, the lever snap clamps work well, are strong, and individually adjustable to maintain their tightness over time, and the reachable height of 20 feet is great. With the pole being infinitely adjustable with the lever clamps, it means I can adjust the height down when it gets windy and when collapsed, the 54 inches fit into the basement of our RV or back of a short-bed pickup. The pole, actually all the pieces, are very well built, high quality, and heavy weight. I chose the silver color and the finish is beautiful. The steel base is perfect for being held under a tire or pinned under a trailer’s tongue jack. I actually ordered this pole for elevating our RV cell phone signal booster’s exterior antenna. With the lever clamping system on this flag pole, adjusting the direction and height of the antenna is very easy. How cool is this kit! The extending pole is 20ft high and super stable. I put this over a 4ft stake to fly the included American flag high. It’s been stable in the wind that rips through here morning and evening. The pole comes with small carabiners so you can mount a couple flags on the 3 mounts. The base is great for using under your vehicle tire, we plan on taking it to the dunes and keep under the trailer tire next. The base has a plastic tube inset and a set screw and fits perfectly. With everything you get and the great quality pole it’s a great price

I picked up this Telescoping Flag Pole Kit, thinking I’d finally outdo my neighbor’s garden gnome army and add some serious flair to our camping setup. Assembly was quick. No tools, no sweat, and you don’t have to break out a degree in engineering. The secret to its stability? The platform goes under your parked truck tire, which is pretty clever. Once it’s anchored, the flagpole stays up and waves like it’s auditioning for a parade. But there’s a catch. When the wind picks up, the pole can sway and rub against the side of your truck. Cue the tiny scratches and scuffs nobody wants on their paint job. It took me one blustery evening to realize I should’ve tucked a towel or something soft between the pole and my truck to keep the patriotic spirit from turning into a body shop bill. Would’ve been nice to see that warning somewhere in the instructions. The flag gets attention, sure. It’s portable, easy to use, and stands tall, even in a breeze. But unless you’re okay improvising a buffer or you don’t care about your truck’s finish, keep this in mind. It’s good, but it could be a lot better with a little extra thought for the details.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Portable flag poll! Durability: It's a good basic flag poll. It works as a flag poll. Functionality: Functionality wise, it's not going to work for everyone. It's a good idea but different trucks, like mine will have different shapes. The kickout that goes under the tire should have been a few inches longer, that way the poll can be spaced out from the vehicle. Currently it sits close to the vehicle, scotching the paint. One could use some foam blocks to space it out but its just silly. Overall it's a decent poll, but it's not going to work for everyone as intended. You could just bury it with a sandbag and that works the best, or weld on a longer leg so one does not have to worry about it scratching the car!
