This shade instantly upgraded our RV door situation. It blacks out the window completely and gives that extra privacy we wanted without dealing with janky blinds or wrestling with Velcro strips. The magnets are strong enough to keep it in place even when we’re opening and closing the door constantly. Fit was great over our Lippert window and installation was about as easy as it gets—just line it up and let the magnets do the work. I was hoping that this was simply one that just used magnets to attach on the door since it saying magnetic and no tools required. However it says something about removing tabs in the window which mine doesn’t have so this window shade is basically useless for what I needed it for. The only reason for the second star is because it does at least seem to be well made.

The media could not be loaded. For starters, you need a window that is "shade ready". My window has a sticker that says "Lippert Thin Shade Ready" on it. You can install it as either "pull up" or "pull down". I thought I wanted the traditional pull down, but after installing, the shade kept falling down on it's own. So, I reinstalled it as pull up, which is supposed to work because the shade has magnets - but, it never stayed up and magnets never held (see video). So, I flipped it over again and went back to pull down. I played around with the strings and springs and got it to pretty much work if I'm really gentle at sliding it up/down. The other issue is just the installation system - it is pretty clunky and feels like the shade might fall out at any moment. I think this is more of a Lippert design flaw, but still an issue. All this said, the shade itself seems like decent quality, but the springs and magnets could be better. The price is decent. The installation is a tad clunky, but this might be an issue with any shade since it is more of a Lippert issue.

This makes perfect shade and privacy in the motorhome. Easy to install and operate. Fits well at this size but you can also shade other windows partially. Functions well!

Out RV ccame ready for a shade, but one was not include. We've been meaning to add the shade and this was the perfect opportunity. The shade is easy to install. The aluminum top and bottom rails are rigid to keep from warping with use. There is a spring below the bottom bar that tensions the shade. Once installed and operates smoothly and totally blocks all light from coming through. There is a magnet that holds the shade in the fully closed position. Overall this is a good product.
