We moved into our new condo this year and as luck would have it the disposal ceased to function. For this reason, we shopped for a disposal, but came to the decision that why not at the same time purchase an upgraded sink. After weighing the pros and cons of stainless versus other materials, we decided that stainless was the way to go. We found this Ruvati work station sink by browsing and making comparisons on Amazon, then moved forward with the purchase since Amazon did have the best price. The sink arrived in a carton that was in perfect condition. Within the box the sink, as well as all of the accessories, were well protected by styrofoam and additional cardboard. The sink was inside of a fabric bag, which provided scratch protection. My plumber had very little to do to swap out the old sink for the Ruvati, just a little trimming of the corners of the countertop (the old sink had rounded corners, whilst the Ruvati is more square, on account of the recessed lips upon which the accessory strainer box, cutting board, and foldable drying rack rest). I had my plumber drill one hole on the left hand side for the air vent for our dishwasher (that is the short chrome piece in the photo) so that I could utilize the pre-drilled hole on the right for an after market soap dispenser. The faucet is one that I purchased from Amazon ~5 years ago, but it matched up perfectly. The plumber found that the sink was not supplied with a locking nut for the supplied drain, though since he is a professional he carries more than enough suitable items in his truck to get the job done (if you are DIY, you might be making an extra trip to the hardware store). After installation of the new disposal was complete, we filled the sink to check for any leaks. Once this was done, we were back up and running. After 2 weeks in operation, we are very happy. We followed the advice in the Ruvati documentation to not allow metal to rest in the sink, and to keep it debris free. Also, Bar Keepers Friend is an excellent way to do a weekly cleaning to really make the metal pop and protect the investment. We also recommend getting a bottle of food grade mineral oil to keep the African Mahogany cutting board (this is one of the accessories) in good shape.

The sink rusted in the upper corners within 8 days of install. I contacted the company & they felt it was the installer's tools or a countertop issue. They advised me & sent me a little bit of Barkeepers friend and a little piece of a scrubby & told me to try removing the rust with it. Which I did & it removed it.

I really took my time choosing what sink I wanted in my kitchen and this was the one I chose and am so glad I did. It is everything that was advertised. Although the strainer basket is cool, I have taken that out and it's in the cupboard because it took up so much room in the sink. But having the cutting board and strainer handy is great. You can work right over the sink and not have to take up counter space. Plus the mess goes right into the sink. It's easy to clean and looks beautiful all the time. It may be a little pricey but I think it's worth getting a quality made product that will last rather than having to replace something in a few years.

We really like how this sink updated our 30 year old kitchen. The accessories are nice to have. We keep most of them stored out of the way until needed -- they present some clutter when stored in/on the sink. The grates are sturdy, and fairly easy to clean with a sponge and hot water. The drying rack comes apart to clean, which is nice, and sometimes when you don't want it to, which is mildly irritating. We like the lower divider between the bowls, and the larger/smaller bowl sizes. NOTE: Installation was not as simple as we thought it would be. The corners of this sink are very square. The old sink we removed had somewhat rounded corners, and its opening was rounded to match. The corners had to be ground out of the marble countertop before this sink would fit in the 'same' size opening. There is no flat area under the edges to put a bead or rope of plumbers putty, so we ended up adding a bead of clear silicon to the outside edge to seal it. Not insurmountable problems, just not standard 'drop in and done' sink replacement, so we had some problem solving to get the installation right.

We could not be happier with our new sink & accessories. It shipped & arrived promptly. It was packaged very well. We had to cut our granite for the squared corners but once that was done it fit perfectly. I did see some discoloration in the corners so I emailed the company & got a prompt answer with an explanation & answer to the problem. I would without hesitation buy from this company again!

This is an absolutely gorgeous sink, stylish and modern, contemporary design. It's very sturdy, and easy to keep clean. It arrived VERY well & thoughtfully packaged, and inside a nice bag as well. I don't use the cutting board, as it's fairly easy to damage, and I just want it to stay pretty, for its aesthetics. I purchased some food grade cutting board wax (the finish got a bit of water stain on it) polished it, and restored the beautiful finish. This sink brings my kitchen into the present. I've had it for about a month, and there's no signs of scratching or rust, as I've seen in some reviews, but then, I'm very careful with the treatment of my sink. The racks that are included, provide protection for the bottom, I don't leave anything sitting directly on the surface, and I wipe it dry at the end of the day. I simply CARE for the things that I pay for. I'm very pleased - if that changes in the future, I'll update.
